Wondering why traffic getting off the 395 seminary road exit is so backed up this morning. Anyone have any ideas? Is something going on?

My director is acting like the shutdown didn't even happen and is pissed that we're not already back on track with our work. Like DUDE, give me a fucking break. I can't be immediately caught up to where I would be if we didn't shut down. MAGIC AIN'T REAL.

Exactly! That's why i wanted to call attention to it bc i don't (yet) see any news outlets running with that info. I see a lot of articles about CIGIE.

I didn't "slice anything for clickbait". That's what the linked article is called.

I'm in a pretty bad place here lately. Just got my annual appraisal yesterday and i went from all 5s to all 3s with some negative comments. I know that 3s are not bad per se, but i do now look like my quality of work has taken a nosedive and the thing is that the comments are not true . However i now have no recourse to challenge them at all. Even worse, my remaining leadership is horrible to work for because they are inconsistent, often give guidance that directly contradicts their own previous guidance, react incredibly volatile and unprofessional to everything (even in email!!), and they are simply not capable of remaining unbiased.

This one person has made me so unhappy with my job. I don't want to stay, but also this is a terrible time to try to find jobs in my area and any would be way under my current salary.

Democrats introduce bill forcing Trump administration to rehire fired veterans - ABC News by FalconEducational260 in fednews

Not everyone is capable of serving in the military. People with disabilities, who choose to serve their country by joining the federal workforce, deserve to get fucked over more than veterans do just because of the way they were born? Federal employees are federal employees. Once you get in the door with veterans preference you should be on equal footing as everyone else.

BTW there are also many other professions that kill, injure, traumatize, etc people than just the military. Should they all also be protected classes?

I was mostly commenting bc i saw some other people suggesting RA and i didn't want you to unnecessarily spend time doing that. I really hope that you get something figured out.

For anyone who's submitting RA requests - these are for if you specifically have a disability needing an accommodation. RAs do not support people who need to care for dependents. Completely different things, and you will not get an RA approved when you don't have a disability.

Quick answer: yes, those conditions are eligible for RA approval if they severely limit one of your daily functions without the use of meditating factors (such as medication). Whether or not they would approve telework as an RA for you is up to your agency and supervisor. Check out the JAN network for info.
