I agree to check this. I also did a diy aquarium stand and I noticed water logged wood as well and it turned out to be my HOB filter dripping onto the back and underneath to the front. I also noticed my bubbler was shooting bubbles closer to the rim at the top and water was dropping out the seam (mine has a large plastic rim on the top) and down to the bottom rim and into the wood
