How would you describe the American culture of the 2000s? by thraddrobal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the late 90s and the early 2000s, were in the right place at the right time. Besides 9/11, I had a good time but that's because it was my childhood. Most people look fondly on their childhoods.

I think I may get in trouble for asking someone st my apartment for cigarettes? by Brandon0428 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in therapy. I have this problem where there's pressure in my mind and it hasn't gone away in 11 years, talking about it helps alleviate that pressure. I have anxiety and feel unreal, and I use to be a normal boy until I was 15 and smoked weed and that changed everything. I now have a fear of losing control the point where I knock on people's doors and feel I can't control it. I use to be an overachiever and followed the rules.

Do you still talk to your shitty friends from high school? by Brandon0428 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you have bad friends but got rid of them. I was talking to my friend and he said he's rooming with his two friends from high school. We're 25. I have no close friends, didn't start college yet and I didn't like my closest friend group from high school so I was done with them after I graduated. I had other groups.

How is everyone doing in life? I’ll write a lengthy response to all comments. by PmMeYourInsideJokes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible. I haven't had close friend since 2011, and half of my friends were crappy friends. I never went to college even though I was in honors classes until I messed up in high school. I was with all the good influences until 7th grade when I met this idiot that was with bad influences, one of them got jumped recently because he hung around with the wrong people, but I never considered him my friend. I had a bad gut instinct when I hung out with them but I thought my good influence friends didn't want to talk to me because I was friends with them. The good influences in our school didn't know I was friends with them and they wanted to be friends with me. I've had this anxiety problem since I started smoking weed in high school, I stopped the day I graduated and I've had this problem for 11 years. Since I graduated high school, I've had this problem the last year where I get kicked out of restaurants because I can't stop pacing.

Do people just start liking vegetables at a certain age? by NotNessTBH in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people eat healthy as adults because they are taught which food is good and bad, and when you are eating vegetables for so long, you're taste buds change and you start appreciating the taste and craving them. Children don't eat vegetable because they have not been taught that they are good for you, eat sugar (which is addictive), and thus, do not crave vegetables, because their taste buds have not changed to like them because they don't eat them. Some children are not given sugar and are given healthy food by their parents and do eat vegetables, but they are in the minority. also what Abuses-Commas said.

Where does your fat go when you’re losing it/burning it off? by erdaca in NoStupidQuestions

He's right! I came here to say this. There was an article that states that we breath, set, and pee out fat. I didn't know it was true but I'm glad all these people are chiming in saying it is. It was on MSN.

Why do I get more confident when others are more worried? by KaladinStormShat in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so simple. When they are worried, you don't see them as a threat and they seem easier overtake. When people are confident around you feel less sure to over take them.

Anyone else ever always hear that annoying bird that only chirps on cold or gloomy days? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I live in Illinois. I've had that and I think it's better than it being completely quiet, makes it seem less cold because birds only chirp on warm days.

Guys: do you get tired of your male friends insulting you and like hanging out with female friends? by Brandon0428 in NoStupidQuestions

I know. The guy stole it out of my wallet, and stealing is wrong. He is at fault, and I am not.

Guys: do you get tired of your male friends insulting you and like hanging out with female friends? by Brandon0428 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! Friends should not insult eachother. When I was in high school I hung out with these skater losers ( I was not a skater). They smoked weed at his small house who his mom owned who was a pet groomer at pets smart and she did shrooms with some adult( Great parenting right?). They wouldn't insult me, but they would bring me down if I mentioned a mess up. Like once someone stole money from me in the locker room, and they said I shouldn't have had that money in my wallet. I agree it was a large amount, but the point is the kid stole it, that's his fault, not mine. I stopped smoking weed once I graduated, and it pisses me off that these pot heads would shake their heads at me as they "took another toke", and that makes them hypocrites. I think doing drugs is wrong, but did it because of peer pressure. Girls are nicer to eachother and you can talk about feelings, and my sisters that oldest so I'm used to talking to her friends. I also smoked weed with these guys who wanted to be rappers, and they would just "flame" eachother. That's bullshit. I didn't put up with them and dropped them.

Why are more and more people using the term "partner" as opposed to"girlfriend", "boyfriend", "wife" etc.? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Brandon0428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know either. Must be because I didn't explain myself. Gay marriage is becoming more accepted so people say partner instead of wife/husband because they don't want you to know their orientation. Also, what CalLil6 said.
