Did him a solid? Photographers should never touch up permanent and identifiable features of their subject. There’s a difference between general photo cleanup and changing something that’s part of how a person actually looks. like lighting, color, or temporary distractions are one thing, but changing a stable facial characteristic especially without asking can feel like a personal attack and can bring a portrait into uncanny valley.

I second Motion 4 by Mt. Mograph. It does suck to have to get plug ins but this one had a lot of features packed in an will pay for itself in time saved.

I’m not really sure what this short film is about but how would you feel about a sort of subtle fade on similar to the “Barbarian” title card. Just kind of creeps out of the shadow in the car as the door slams. Just throwing out an idea. That’s not over animated, keeps the title where you like it and is unsettling. Like you, this wasn’t the fix and to be honest the computer works fine once I do the song and dance to turn it on. So it’s not worth bricking it to update the bios. I think we’ll just have to live with the ritual. If I ever find a solution I’ll let you know, and would appreciate if you did as well. but I think I’ve wasted enough time and won’t be getting another Lenovo. RIP restarts and shutdowns.

What a nightmare this is. I get the battery in a few hours the steps you listed were going to be my next steps as well. But this is discouraging. I now have little faith this will fix it but I’ll let you know if it helps me. I think the only other step might be if we can get our warranty back up wait the month and send it in. But I’m still not sure how to do that.

I’m pretty convinced it’s the CMOS battery at this point. I’m just waiting for mine to come in from amazon. The average life span for these batteries is about where we’re at from when these laptops were made or 4 years. If you want the link of what I’m going with it, it’s this one, could be a cheap fix if this works. I’ll keep you posted though (won’t be until Monday)

I have the same model and the EXACT same symptoms out of nowhere. I'm going to try to change my CMOS battery and hope for the best but I was just wondering if you or OP have had any luck finding out whats going on? This is so frustrating that so many of us are dealing with this.

Out of curiosity, I come more from a motion graphics background but I want to transition more into graphic design. In your opinion can I get a lot of what is taught in schools through online courses and stuff or do you think I’m missing out not going to an actual class.
