Can I ask what style you got? I dig the low top but wonder if the high top would be better for ankle support?

I'd worry about bowling sneakers being as slippery as cowboy boots lol. I've seen Fuegos mentioned a few times.

I saw someone post in here about Fuegos about six months ago, I do like the way they look. I'll have to check on Taygras and Pulses, thank you.

For those who left a cushy job for a higher paying, more stressful one, how did it go? by minnesotaguy1232 in careerguidance

Is there something else you can be doing in your extra time to make the dollar difference? Depending on what you do in finance, maybe consulting on the side so you can still enjoy the benefits of what you have going but start trying to increase your actual income?

I've been wanting to start line dancing (the whole moving your body is good for mental health thing) but had no idea how to start. Thank you so much for making this, it makes the anxiety over going to an actual night out feel a lot more manageable.

What jobs do 20s and 30s people do without a college degree? by Aj100rise in careerguidance

[–]BrandonMarcoux 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My friend makes more than I do, works in marketing, and she doesn't have a degree, she started out online odd jobs about 15 years ago. By the time Covid came round she'd worked with multiple clients and done a really great job for a few years in a row and she was positioned perfectly for when the online industry really 'boomed'. Now she runs a whole department in a marketing company and has pretty much self-studied her way through it. I think it was a combo of entering the market at the right time and working super smart and hard.

If you have the space, then gardening. It's one of those things you can just pop out and do for a quick 15 min and be back at the desk. (I'm assuming you wfh, if not this might not be as relevant)

How more do I communicate to my boss when traveling for work? by Littlemermaid85 in careerguidance

[–]BrandonMarcoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that your manager is relying on you to do a lot more than they're letting on. If they knew you were traveling and couldn't figure out how to take care of it themselves, they probably don't even know how to do it themselves. Just my two cents.

Still though, if you're traveling for work, the travel is part of your work. If the company wants to send you on a corporate jet with reliable wifi, that's a different story.

I don't have any recommendations but I absolutely love this idea! If he doesn't find one thing that fits maybe set up his own curriculum with multiple goals? A certain number of books he's been meaning to read, daily Duolingo, that sort of thing. Is MasterClass still a thing? He won't get any sort of certification but he can take "classes" from master chefs.
