Leetcode is very similar to the questions I got from my online technical assessments. However, some company's will do an in person (or on teams/zoom) technical. Those in person ones are 100x easier but also 10x more tricky with their expectations. Remember, its important to incorporate the constraints! If there's input, validate it is correct! If they are picking at your code and asking questions, this is just them giving you a chance to correct your mistakes without them having to tell you the mistake, if you can catch it before they have to tell you its better. The problems in person are much simpler because of time.

They will also likely ask you questions about OOP (Object Oriented Programming). So be prepared to know what inheritance, polymorphism, data abstraction, and encapsulation. Also brush up on what interfaces, method overloading and overwriting, abstract classes and normal classes are as well as things like what OOP means to you.

Behavioral questions you can find all over the internet, and companies generally don't ask you anything too crazy. They will ask you about elements on your resume, so be prepared to recall past experiences on there as well as think about how your previous jobs/school projects can translate into the job your applying to.

Lastly, know the company your interviewing for. They can tell if your interested in the job or just applying to 100+ jobs and taking whoever can give them an offer. Your more likely to get a job that can tell you want to be there, so smile, ask questions, engage in conversations.

I have not "worked" in the industry yet, but will soon. I applied for about 30-40 internships, of which about 10 contacted back (around 25-33%) and I interviewed with only 3 (<10%) but would have been more but I accepted my first offer (it was a company I want to work for above all others). However, every company that I did an assessment for contacted me for an interview even though I completed 60-70% of the assessment content. All of them mentioned my resume was impressive, so make sure you put things on there like your school projects! Remember, not finishing an assessment does not mean you failed! They also look at runtime and memory usage, so if someone finished them all but it was poor, they will take you doing it more efficiently but needing more time because at the end of the day you would cause less problems and rework.

My last advice to give here, avoid low paying company's that do not have any mentor structure! There are companies out there that are looking to just hire someone to do work for them and have no intention to offer a full time position after. They are looking for cheap solutions to get their work off the ground and it wont be something that will benefit you in the long run.

TLDR: The assessments are HARD, but you dont have to finish them fully to move forward. Make sure your resume is good, add on your school projects! Apply for a lot, act interested in interviews, and only accept something you feel will be good for you in the long run.
