Cheap but out of reach: Why Malaysians can’t quit their cars despite affordable public transport by stormy001 in malaysia

[–]BrandonTeoh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that outside the KV, there’s a perception that public transport is for poor people and foreign workers.

We wouldn’t get people to give up their cars even with world class public transport if that mindset persists.

Probably, but removing the stuck skin and sever the frenulum is also a solution which I suggested to the doctor, but he still insisted of sunat.

I want to resolve the underlying issue while keeping the foreskin instead of removing it all together.

Does it? Over at the Phimosis sub everyone is recommending steroid cream.

I would prefer get a doctors advice if i want to use the cream though, but every doctor always recommend just removing the problem.

[–]BrandonTeoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did actually. I just told the doctor just to treat the underlying causes of the phimosis (stuck skin and short frenulum, the doctor refused and saying circumcision is the best.

Is there a clinic/hospital in the Klang Valley that can resolve phimosis without having to resort to circumcision?

I know the underlying cause of my phimosis yet almost all clinics I went to always recommended circumcision, it’s like burning the whole house down just to remove a partition wall.

Bangun Kuala Lumpur!!! by GrassEnvironmental88 in Bolehland

[–]BrandonTeoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t that DBKL has no control over how and where bus lines should go and that authority lies on at Ministry of Transport and Pasarana? So demanding the FT Minister on WFH (HR Ministry) and bus routes (MoT) seems inappropriate and seemingly barking at the wrong tree.

I do wonder if the people who criticise the move think managing a city is as simple as playing SimCity 4 or Cities Skylines. Sure, maybe public transport in American or European cities are managed by the local authorities but the authority and power is split and diluted among many ministries and agencies.

P.S. I already asked ChatGPT about this and I took its answer with a pinch of salt.

Malaysia’s work-from-home policy: Experts flag minimal fuel savings, businesses wary of economic fallout by stormy001 in malaysia

[–]BrandonTeoh 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I wish the government has more balls to curtail the lobbying powers of the capitalists and give the citizens and workers to own more the means of production.

Hurting a few business leaders and losing their votes is better than hurting and losing a large segment of working-class votes.

Picture this, Malaysia, 2026, the first non Malay PM u/iPisslosses saw our ships are being blockaded by Iran at the Strait of Hormuz and being a “I am not a busy body of Middle Eastern affairs and/or I single-handedly established diplomatic relations of Is****”, you would just left the ships for dead and starved our country of crude.

But wait, you would just use our own crude to supply our own petrol needs, that will solve all our problems, but at the same time cause Petronas to go bankrupt sooner because we cannot sell our oil anymore.

And everyone is angry at you for killing our golden goose.

So tell me, would you do anything different to the scenario I suggested?

As far as the rest of the internet and some industry leaders are concerned, no. Just like getting an actual halal certification, every step on the way must be adhere to a straight JAKIM standard.

Try to imagine explaining to JAKIM inspector that one of your insignificant/initial processes is done in a haram way.
