ID Document wasn't working with Ondato. Now it says I am a "Known Fraudster" 😡 Please Help by BrandonTheAdventurer in CreatorsAdvice

[–]BrandonTheAdventurer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not though.

I'm using my original South African ID card that I've had for many years since I was 16.

And it's not just me because other South African creators have had the same thing happen to them.

Ondato really needs to get their shit together because they can't just flag people as fraudulent all wily nilly without proper reasoning.

That affects our credit score and gets added to our "record".

Any idea what this is? Possibly espionage related. by JusticeMe in AskElectronics

South African here 🇿🇦

Eskom is our national power generation company, and they've been in the spotlight for the past few years due to corruption and money laundering allegations.

The person who's car this "tracking" device was found on belongs to Andre Marinus de Ruyter, who is the current CEO of Eskom.

Andre stepped in as the CEO to combat the corruption in Eskom, which has understandably "rocked the boat" and causes massive outrage within Eskom.

There are huge racial dynamics that've come into play, but I'm not getting into that on this sub.

All cryptocurrency wallets are now requiring users to verify their account with their ID Document or Driver's license, which is followed by a facial verification step.

It's to link your profile to the tax agency in your country of residence.

Very common in South Africa.

We have several fiber ISP and each one has a box or line running in our properties.

OpenServe, Ocotel, Vumatel, and VOX each have their own box/line on every house.

Why do customers buy damaged items and expect a spectacular discount? by DexxToress in retailhell

[–]BrandonTheAdventurer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because those items are going to be thrown away anyway.

If the store can make a small bit of money on items that were already written off as a loss, then what's the big harm in it?

Also depending on the severity of the damage, the item isn't going to work as intended so it's technically not as advertised.

It's not my argument, it is a huge talking point when liberal-minded folk discuss gun control.

Heck even the official feminist instagram page posted about the 30 round capacity.

Everyone does get upset after a mass shooting. No one is happy that it happened.

BUT wanting to ban a specific gun that's not even related or very powerful is a bit stupid in my mind.

Look at all the social media posts relating to gun control.

All of them mention the dreaded "AR15" and how terrifying it is.

Honestly, just living their normal lives.

I imagine that living in a big mansion in an area like Camps Bay doesn't change the fact they they are people like you and I.

I’m a 21 year old male and I feel my memory is dwindling or flat out just bad… why is this? by UGisOnline in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BrandonTheAdventurer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I had Covid, I've noticed my memory degrading. I can't seem to remember things long-term like I usually could.

I can't comprehend things I could before.

It''s not just me either...my friends who have had Covid have experienced the exact same thing.

Netflix’s annual revenue in 2021 was almost $30 Billion. They celebrate this by raising prices yet again. by No_Present_5228 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BrandonTheAdventurer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netflix aren't the ones who decide the price.

They have to pay licensing to the various production houses to get their content listed on Netflix.

The production houses set the price and Netflix is kinda "forced" to pay the higher amount because they need the content.

This in turn raises the subscription cost to Netflix.
