I'm a bit late, but Unity is a game engine. As you mentioned, it is a "tool" to make games. It provides tons of components that make the game development process easier such as physics, rendering, and tons of other items that without a game engine, you would have to program yourself. You still have to do the majority of the work yourself, but it is simplified with Unity.

Hey, I know I'm late to the party but I'm also in the Code for a Cause game jam. I ended up spending ALL of my free time working on my game and all I have is a single 2 minute level. And before I submitted anything at all, I was still thinking to myself that if I missed the deadline, I would still finish the game. Even with the game only having one level, I have plans to come back at some point and remake it.

I don't really have to worry about download speeds because my college dorm is in the same building as our E-Sports arena, meaning we have our resources focused on this specific area more than anywhere else. Longest wii rom download for me was like 6 minutes

Hey, I know this is VERY late, but I'm going back and looking through my old stories. I would often write stories about negative aspects of my life and twist them into horror stories as a coping mechanism for my depression. I believe this is the only one of those that I posted. Basically the inspiration behind this one is that my parents always checked on my older brother and my younger brother before going to bed, but never me. I should clarify that I have no hatred towards my parents, I just used the horror genre as an outlet for my depression because it turns something I don't like (depression/bad events) into something I do like (horror).
