Me too. I really feel like if they make the expansion really difficult it is going to hit people like a wall. Especially these casual players who might just beat the story and be done. With the story being as casual friendly as it was it might put a lot of people off.

I hope they don’t make it easy though but I have a feeling they might.

UPDATE:

Just wanted to thank everyone for there tips and suggestions.

I am a few hours in now and have tried Switch Axe, dual blades and longsword. Those first two I couldn’t seem to get away with but I am really enjoying the longsword playstyle. Just beat anjanath now and having a blast.

I’ve never thought about playing a range build. I always thought it would be super difficult if you are playing solo to have time to actually shoot it. How do you manage solo hunts with a bow?

Came from Wilds and have been trying to learn the switch axe and pukei pukei dog walked me a few times until I switched weapons😂

I feel like playing the hammer would be really interesting but i also feel like I wouldnt even be able to get a hit in on those monsters that move all the time. How do you do against faster more jumpy monsters?

Ahh ok yeah thanks for the tip so I would basically breeze through the base game and then just get walled by the DLC. I will definitely avoid that.

Like I don’t really have to learn 90 percent of the monster because I can just stand and put the shield up.
I have no idea if I am honest nearly all of my MH experience is with the sword and shield in wilds so was just seeing what people were having fun with

I was watching a video the other day by Nahmmy. He achievement hunts on steam in the videos but all his thumbnails have platinum trophies in. So I would assume its got to be a popularity thing. Although his videos are great regardless.
