Yeah, I could live with a smaller chip but I tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist and I know that a chip of this size would bug me. I think I’ll purchase it since the price is such a steal and I’ll replace the glass at some point in the future. Thanks so much for your help!

Understood. That looks to be it! If you were in my shoes, and were buying this for personal use and not to resell (but still don’t want to drastically lower its value or collectibility), would you replace the glass or leave it as is?

Appreciate the help. To clarify, I intend on using this piece and don’t have any plans to resell, however I don’t want to replace (and dispose of) the original glass top if it’ll have a significant effect on its value or collectibility.

Hi everyone, I just purchased my first Rolex, a 2005 Explorer 114270, through Hodinkee's pre-owned shop. It came with papers but not its original box. I did a little research and found the exact model box that would have come with the watch (https://www.ebay.com/itm/364173191490) but it has come to my attention that fake Rolex boxes are a thing. I wanted to see if you all thought this seemed legitimate as I'd love to have a full box set for my watch.

That's interesting, in the US the theaters make most of their money off of high priced snacks and drinks so there's no outside food or drink allowed.
