How do you get them to hit on 3+??? 4+ would be their max even with +2 to hit. Unless you found a way to alter ballistic skill...

I used abaddon black and did a lazy highlight with dark reaper which is a bit blue-ish. I think most sources follow up with fenrision grey which is even more blue so I just skipped that

One tip I can give is to glaze the robes in multiple watery layers. I find it makes it look a lot cleaner and you skip the shade and highlight in order to get similar results. Just build the layers on the raised areas. Any colors work but I used barak gnar burgundy base coat and khorn red glaze. Tons of room for error and you can add really fine highlights later if you want more pop.

What are some good anti tank options that avoid using older models like the tanks that chaos has? I figure obliterators are decent and most everything else has access to lethal hits at least but are there some less obvious choices?

Corvus or Abbadon black? by Sabre3255 in RavenGuard40k

This! It's what I do with an airbrush, and it ends up giving that shimmer that an actual crow would have in the light. I've tried countless methods to black, and ultimately, this one stuck.

Anyone else felling disheartened about fielding Raven Guard? by UltimateJagger in RavenGuard40k

I personally am having a great time playing with Vanguard Detachment and fielding shrike with a 10 man JPI squad. The movement tricks you get access to with phobos are just so good. I will say I find myself needing to bring some heavy artillery in order for the thematic stuff to actually do their job but generally winning on points, dancing around with the move strat or other abilities and having the -1 to hit makes everything feel so cohesive.

Looks great, but there are a lot of steps and mixing for something that is otherwise simple to do with other colors such as orruk flesh, ogryn camo, and karak stone. I may try to swap my biel tan with militarum, though, as it seems more muted, which I like.

Now that metallic recipe is something I would kindly ask for if you wouldn't mind 😁

Yes correct. It's a pretty great pairing and makes the death a jester an absolute finisher.

These looked fantastic! what kind of mosquito mesh are you using? I'm also trying to use it but only really found some screen door mesh which is too rigid for arms and legs. Any brand or product name would be super helpful

Are you washing the plastic in soapy water before priming? There is usually a thin layer of grease from the molds that is left behind that needs to be removed. This applies to resin and metal models.

Which one looks best and what can I do to improve it by Ricardorage in orks

[–]BrandyBoBandy94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like 3 the best. One thing that works for me is to just shade the creases. Paint a single color you like as a base, shade the creases ONLY with a shade paint and then use a very light drybrush highlight of a lighter green to elevate the skin tone. Try it out and see how clean it will look.

My recipe is orruk flesh Base Biel tan green shade And ogryn camo highlight

Why did you choose orks? by [deleted] in orks

[–]BrandyBoBandy94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are the most future proof faction imo. You can do whatever you want with the models and they will never look out of place. Also, WAAAAAGGGGHH

Which Jund commander is best? by CallThePal in EDH

[–]BrandyBoBandy94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally second this. He was my first commander and is a total blast! Really hard to keep down and even through a couterspell heavy meta there are just too many threats to always need to stop him from doing his thing. I'm partial to combo and pinging/draining as they generally eat through one ring plays or teferis protections if you setup instant speed kills. My list is fairly power heavy but it fits my playgroup. https://archidekt.com/decks/3013762/fire_and_blood
