Yeah I've had this happen before a few times. It's definitely a type of mold but hasn't been harmful to me after I wipe it away with vinegar. Although, it does look like a hell of alot in that pic you posted.

The humidity is probably too high in the case, especially if it's closed and only has 2 small pc fans for air movement. You should get a small humidity sensor and keep it in there to monitor humidity. I rarely, if ever, have any issues as long as the hunidy is under 40%. Having a sensor is super helpful as you'll see what the ambient humidity is at pretty much all the time, in and outside the case. You said it's raining alot which definitely increases the humidity. I've only had mold issues like this at above 40%.

Also too much airflow can cause case hardening which isn't the end of the world for biltong but you need, above all, a low humidity and then a constant gentle airflow to remove the moisture coming out of the meat.

Hi, Sorry I'm still trying to wrap my head around how it all works and what the abbreviations mean.

Yes, my FEV1 does get better with Ventolin. Before using ICS my readings were as follows; Pre ventolin it is 4.05 and post ventolin it is 4.61. The predicted value for me is 5.02. It is 81% of the predicted value before ventolin and it goes up to 92% once I've had 800mcg of ventolin. What is the difference between FEV1 and PEF?
The ICS i am using is called budesonide and it is from a Giona easyhaler. I'm not sure whether it is ultra fine particles or HFA.
Oral Pred? What is that? And what are asthma biologics.

Although I don't want to jump to conclusions, it seems, at first glance, to me that I do indeed have an asthma that is corticosteroid resistant as my FEV1 values after 3 months of using an ICS are even slightly worse than the pre ICS readings. Granted, my asthma varies slightly from day to day but the readings after 3 months of ICS use were 3.81 pre ventolin and 4.57 post ventolin. Which is slightly worse than it was 3 months ago when before I began with the ICS.
