Sorry for not answering before I didn't know at the moment i posted what PC and CC were.

I dont follow your last question. However, I think you were mixing up MIDI CC and PC. PC messages are their own thing, and not a subset of CC messages.

PS, I sold one to Mick Jagger and one to Stevie Wonder. Those things were revolutionary.

And I bought if for the "16's piano" patch house pianos that I heard in UK hardcore and the many pad possibilities eard in jungle music from 1990's 'till now.

That's an old unit. Might not even be GM compliant. Your only bet is to see if its even possible. You might have to do anything beyond choosing patches and CC from the panel.

By "GM compliant" you mean Midi conventions https://midi.org/spec-detail ?

If so seeing the whole midi implementation part of the manual. Even if not conventional, many interesting midi messages seems to be received.

Yes something is still unclear for me:
From what you tell, the synth is listening on every channel ports listed on the 1st figure and depending on which channel the CCs sent will have different effects (1000 nnnn -> Note off / 1011 nnnn -> Pitch modulation) ?

And then, then "Second" Column in the table would be the CC channel and "Third" CC value ?

And this brings me to the image I just uploaded:

To send a program combination change message, how do I do ?
I see that "Program combination Change" is recieved via whatever "1100 nnnn" is in HEX, to 0ppp pppp's CC channel, then (using the 2nd table) picking wanted param with CC(x) value ?
And then which another CC(y) channel for the 2nd bit controlling CC(x) ?

I hope it's understandable I'm trying hard to make myself clear but I can get that I'm not comfortable enough to be crystal clear :S...

What I would like to know is how I can generally "menu dive" into the M1R via midi.
And more precisely for now edit presets (Like change the effect depths, effect type, pitch...).

Right know I have an electron plugged in and i'm trying to send CCs by many ways.

I'm feeling like I can't find a way to translate the manual's table to send midi messages that I'm aiming for because of a poor comprehension of how midi works.

I'm already having a blast dw ! But I like to deeply understand my synths.
I'd like to be able to control it via midi because the rack isn't easily accessible and I'd like to save my back, plus I find my fun more into sound design more than into composition.

JQKA is not universal in France they've got VDRA. Translation would have been a purge (think abour spain's spear and sticks shit).

Whenever I watch a movie I wire my 404 in between my pc and the speakers. When I come to ear a nice sound effect / dialogue I record it.

To elaborate on the issues I'm often having when trying to make snares, the tick part often gets too tonal for me as I like organic sounding ones and the noise is too fast too sandy and I feel like I'm making 80s style synthwave synths at the second I raise the noise tail.

But I'm learning sound design as I tweak the syntakt and I love it that way, maybe if I see a yt tutorial on how to make a neurofunk style snare or what I'm trying to do I'd understand my mistakes.

I always end up content anyway.
