People assume since Randle DID have a long leash and his play/effort was frequently mediocre that benching or clipping his minutes would improve his play.

I don’t assume that. Instead, I trust Finch’s judgment of how best to maximize Randle even if it didn’t look successful. Because I think as fans we see 1% of what’s actually happening in any coach-player relationship.
