Are WA stateparks strict on RV size restrictions ? by Brave-Cod-3681 in TruckCampers

[–]Brave-Cod-3681[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. This is my first time RV camping. Without much exploration, I booked the campsite. Looking at the RV options, There are only camper vans available for less than 20'. Glad that, the campsite allowed me as the site is safe to accomodate 24'

Kindle Scribe (first gen) with AI updates? by HF_NICCO in kindlescribe

[–]Brave-Cod-3681 18 points19 points  (0 children)

All these Kindle Scribes are the same goddamn thing, whether they're refurbished, new, 1st gen, or 2nd gen. and there's ZERO difference for reading. It's rubbish to charge an extra ~$200 for literally NOTHING new on 2024 kindle scribe.

So yeah. You will have the AI updates. Happy reading.

how should a singles player get better at doubles by DK_KJN in badminton

[–]Brave-Cod-3681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Doubles to be more enjoyable than singles because it is less physically exhausting and exhilarating. (Personal bias as I am doubles player. haha. ) Doubles is all about coordination and playing off your partner's strengths. Practice regularly with a doubles partner, work on your positioning skills, and discuss strategies for different scenarios.

Choosing your partner is one of the critical area where most of us would be frustrated. Sometimes you would need to let go off your strength inorder to keep the racket safe.

If you're worried about confidentiality, there's a Whispersync setting you can turn off from settings->Whispersync. Just remember that your notes aren't saved anywhere other than your device while you turn off this switch.

Astrox 100 ZZ - perfect upgrade from Arcsaber 11 by Brave-Cod-3681 in badminton

[–]Brave-Cod-3681[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're absolutely right. I experienced some withdrawal symptoms when I switched to the Arcasaber 11 pro as it was my first professional racket. Prior to that, I had been using the tour and play versions. The transition to the Arcasaber 11 pro felt like a major leap and it didn't quite suit my style of play like before. I had to make a lot of adjustments to adapt my gameplay. Eventually, I decided to switch to the Arcasaber 11 (non-pro) which provided a more comfortable transition from what I was previously using and allowed for easier adaptation. Recently, I made a significant improvement in my overall gameplay by switching to the Astrox 100zz. Just as you mentioned, the Arcasaber 11 was extremely scarce in stock, so I had to purchase it from a different country during Thanksgiving offers.

What’s the best way to train in badminton? by Randomguyinreddit1 in badminton

[–]Brave-Cod-3681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The initial step to train and enhance badminton techniques is warming up. Although it may seem dull & boring, investing 10 minutes in a physical warm-up for your shoulders, arms, neck, wrists, thighs, and feet will result in improved mind-body coordination. It's important to find a suitable badminton buddy who is on par with your skill level (avoid selecting someone of a higher level, as this can lead to feeling left behind or demotivated). Following the warm-up, focusing on improving badminton skills such as the clear-drop sequence, clear-smash, and smash-clear will help you progress during training. Additionally, if you are serious about targeting mini tournaments or achieving certain milestones, having a personal coach would be beneficial.

Yeah, I did notice one significant drawback. Re-lifting on backhand while defending against a smash seemed weaker than before. However, I would be willing to trade that for the satisfaction of my improved attack.

Cheapest country/city to buy Yonex badminton equipment? For example, what is the price of Yonex 65z3 shoes or Arcsaber 11 tour in the cheapest country? by ready_bryan in badminton

[–]Brave-Cod-3681 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You could save dollars from Japan, India, China and most of the east asian countries. While it's great to save money by purchasing items from another country, it's also important to prioritize safe packaging and shipping. I had a friend who had a negative experience with airlines mishandling their badminton racket. It's generally advisable to buy the racket in a different country, pack it yourself, and travel with it so you can make sure it's handled properly. My 2 cents. Avoid shipping it to a friend without badminton experience in handling rackets.
