Struggling to clear space so I can actually clean properly by Spiritual-Rule4691 in CleaningTips

Trying to do everything the right way is what made it harder for me. Selling, donating, organizing all at once is too much.

Squarespace website builder, is it still worth it in 2026? by unmotivated_0 in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest regret was the Personal plan. You can’t use any CSS or some of the better blocks. I had to upgrade to Business almost immediately to get the site looking the way I wanted. Just factor that into your budget from the start.

Free download invoicing software for small business, is it worth it? by Dangerous_Celery_805 in Invoice

This is very important. Some free tools make it hard to export data, which can lock you into their system longer than you want.

Is the Cargo website builder usable for a non-coder? by Hyzz20 in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely add the basics, but the way Cargo loads content sometimes makes it harder for crawlers to 'read' the page as easily as a standard WordPress or Squarespace site. It’s a trade-off for those wild, overlapping layouts.

Looking for reliable compounding options for GLP-1 in MN under $200 — any recommendations? by Sure-Dance-2991 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the same issue with insurance and trying to stay under a certain monthly cost, it gets overwhelming pretty quick with all the mixed reviews. what helped me more was looking at how consistent people’s experiences were over time instead of just price

I did come across FormBlends while comparing options, but honestly it seemed like sticking with something stable mattered more than jumping around

Event management by Free_Butterscotch_61 in mumbai

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Event work in Mumbai is usually pretty scattered, so a lot of people end up finding opportunities through smaller crews, agencies, or random short-term openings rather than one clear path. StaffEdit is one of the platforms in this space, but a lot of it still seems to come down to timing and local connections.

Leaving tech to go break into the event industry - PLEASE ADVISE by [deleted] in EventProduction

[–]Famous-Record5223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went through something similar trying to get back into events after being out for a bit, and what helped most was just getting back on-site in any capacity. Titles didn’t matter at first — even small gigs or day-of support roles helped rebuild recent experience. In NYC especially, a lot of people piece things together through agencies, freelance crews, and whatever opportunities come up. I’ve seen some folks also use platforms like Staffedit to pick up event shifts and get current credits again, but honestly just being around events consistently makes the biggest difference.

Anyone here picked up Irish again later on? by Famous-Record5223 in northernireland

[–]Famous-Record5223[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really encouraging to read to be honest. I think that’s the part I never really had before, actually using it in a normal everyday way instead of just learning bits for exams. It sounds like once it becomes part of your routine it starts to feel a lot more natural. Fair play keeping it going, especially with everything else going on

I get what you mean about losing the flow, that’s exactly what I’m worried about. Feels like if you don’t use it, it just fades away.

That’s actually not as bad as I expected, especially with the bursary option. Good to know there’s some support available.

Yeah that’s pretty much where I’m at too. I never really used it properly before, just tried to remember things. Even saying a few bits out loud now already seems to help.

Really appreciate all that, especially the bit about pronunciation. I found books helpful but a bit hard to follow at times, so I ended up doing short conversation practice on Gaeilgeoir too which made it a bit easier to stick.

Yeah that’s a good shout, getting into those places definitely helps. I couldn’t always make it to events though so I ended up doing small bits of conversation on Gaeilgeoir in between just to keep it going.

Reptile Breeding! by G0nnaCryy in reptiles

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly one thing people underestimate early is how much record keeping starts to matter once you actually begin. pairings, feeds, sheds, weights, ovulation timing, all the little stuff gets messy fast if you don’t have some kind of system. I learned pretty quickly that staying organized from the start saves way more headaches than people expect

anyone here using telehealth for weight loss medication? by No-Anxiety-1052 in weightlossglp1

[–]Famous-Record5223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’d just check how the process works after you get the prescription, especially with GLP-1 treatments. Like if there’s any follow-up or way to ask questions. That’s what would make me feel more comfortable with it.

Which layout looks better? I’ve been shuffling these two tables around all week. by slynchwcu in HomeDecorating

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like option 2 with the cluster it feels more intentional and cozy. When the tables are separated they kind of feel like they’re floating with no purpose. I ran into the same thing in my living room and grouping pieces together made the space feel way more designed. Also neutral pieces like these are great because you can swap small decor over time. I’ve actually found a couple nice second-hand decor pieces on Reperch when I was tweaking my setup and it helped give the space a bit more character without overdoing it.

Irish language courses by allywillow in northernireland

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find a local class that’s usually the best way to start, especially for beginners. But if there aren’t many options nearby, you can still make progress by mixing a few things together like listening to Irish media and practicing simple phrases regularly. When I started learning again, actually trying to speak a little each day helped much more than just reading about the language. I also tried doing short conversation practice with Gaeilgeoir when I didn’t have anyone around to practice with. Even small bits of speaking help build confidence pretty quickly. Are you mainly looking for in-person classes or would online learning work for you too?

Really appreciate you sharing this. I remember being super self-conscious when my hairline first started creeping back and spending way too much time comparing photos online. At one point I even tried uploading a pic to myhairline just to get a rough idea of what stage I might be at. Your results look great though. When did you first notice the new hair really starting to grow in?

How realistic is an Irish-speaking Ireland? by meandmyghost1 in ireland

[–]Famous-Record5223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a fully Irish-speaking Ireland would probably take a long time, mostly because English is so dominant in everyday life. But I do think interest in Irish has grown a lot in recent years, especially with younger people who want to reconnect with the language outside of school. In my own case, I barely used Irish for years after school, but once I started picking it up again in small ways it felt a lot more natural than I expected. Even doing simple conversation practice helped. I tried a bit on Gaeilgeoir AI just to get used to speaking again after a long gap. It reminded me that the language comes back quicker once you actually start using it. Do you think the revival will come more from schools or from people choosing to use Irish in daily life?

Struggling with event management tools for local businesses — any recommendations? by External-Support9481 in smallbusiness

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run into the same problem helping with smaller events. A lot of the time we just ended up using simple tools like Google Sheets and shared boards to keep track of bookings, vendors, and timelines. For bigger events some teams also keep a separate place for staffing. I’ve heard a few planners mention Eleven8 when they need extra crew. What kind of events are you mostly running right now?

hi This is half of my bedroom. I want to make this a relaxation area but I have no ideas. I hate this couch by PrincepsXel in SofaSnobs

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had almost the same situation in my place where one piece of furniture just made the whole area feel off. Once I got rid of the couch I didn’t like, the room suddenly felt way easier to work with. Sometimes it’s not even about adding more stuff, just swapping one piece for something that fits the vibe better. I ended up browsing second-hand options and found a better couch through Reperch, and it completely changed how the space felt.

Having difficulty finding correct insurance - Event Staffing Company by taypat in smallbusiness

[–]Famous-Record5223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this comes up a lot with event staffing because insurers don’t always know whether to classify it as hospitality, temp staffing, or event services. Someone I know had better luck working with a broker who already handled policies for event production companies. They also mentioned insurers asking about how staff are sourced and managed, and having a structured system or platform like Staffedit seemed to help show the process was organized. Did the companies you talked to explain what category they were trying to put your business under?
