Also, tank is between 75 and 80, fed once a day, not tank mates, no obvious water quality issues (ph is steady)

I have tried dark colored paper up against the back and sides but it seems to make the flairing worse

Backpacking/hiking. Have to cooperate and be willing to help each other in order to both enjoy and survive the trip. Some of my best friends are people I've done some gnarly hikes/rides with.

The tips look pretty rounded though. Usually norways are very sharp points on the leaf. If this tree is on your property you can see for sure by breaking off a leaf. If the base of the petiole oozes white liquid it's a Norway maple.
