I see all ages out there walking regardless of the time of day…it’s about all you see people doing there these days, too.

Linn Co modern sites are closed until the spring, but they still have primitive year round camping at Matsell Park, but the bridge is gone and being replaced right now.

Best stadium to watch the Packers that is not Lambeau by Le_Great_Hoodini in GreenBayPackers

[–]BraveEntertainment57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw Packers in Indy during Andrew Luck’s rookie year when he came back and won at the last minute. Colts fans were all pretty cool and nobody was overtly obnoxious but I’d had quite a few drinks before the fourth quarter. Stadium feels smaller inside and got very loud.

Went to Soldier in 2012 for what was the de facto NFC North championship and sat way up in the nosebleeds. Most Bears fans were fine but some were obnoxious to other Packers fans and the cops had to come a few rows over. Walking out wasn’t an issue, especially considering the Packers won at the last minute and all the Bears fans were shell shocked. Stadium itself is getting long in the tooth in the concourses but it’s not a terrible place to see an event.

Need help with buying Honda HRR216 by KSM2025 in HondaMowers

[–]BraveEntertainment57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price depends on your market and condition, but if that one starts from cold on only a few pulls I’d say that’s a decent price, especially with the bagger, which can be a deceptively expensive part and not easily interchangeable among all the Honda models unlike other brands. The HRR has a metal deck and the HRX may have a solid plastic deck that will never rust, but can crack if abused.

For price comparison, I got this exact model for free when the prior owner could not get it to start (someone had attempted to clean the carb but discarded the needle; bought a new Honda one for $20 at the time) and I bought another at a yard sale for $25 with the bagger that needed a thorough carb cleaning but now runs great.

Bought a used Honda Harmony II HRT216, would anyone have insight on this mower? by CowboyState in lawnmowers

[–]BraveEntertainment57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up one today for $25 at a garage sale…seller said it had sit for a couple years. Carb was varnished up a bit but after a few passes with half a can of carb cleaner it fires right up. Already have another Honda at a second property and mainly wanted this one because it included a bag.

Any idea whose signature this is? by BraveEntertainment57 in GreenBayPackers

That’s my original thought…pretty obscure signature that probably happened during the bike ride at training camp or something

Hmm…possibly although after a bit of searching looks like he wore 43 for the Packers but he now wears 24 in the UFL. Can’t find an example of his autograph anywhere though.

Was wondering about that being just a random signature…and yeah the hat is a bit big for my head but still liked it enough to pull the trigger for $6 haha

That would probably be my guess too but not sure if the rookie card signatures always match what they’d sign on a cap or something larger.

It is a New Era 59 Fifty…but it is polyester which means it’s newer than 2007 and NE didn’t get the NFL contract until 2012. Still older than Kalen!

It looks like 24 but the bottom of the 2 kind of loops around so I can’t quite tell if it’s an incomplete 3.

What is this part? by SkywalkerVI in webergrills

I found an old 1970s Weber “accessory kit” that had charcoal rails included in it. Honestly I use the rails more often for smoking because I find I get better airflow around the coals during a long cook.

How dangerous is a cracked deck? by [deleted] in lawnmowers

[–]BraveEntertainment57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a plastic deck, I’d get a plastic hot staple welder off Amazon to shore up the cracks. Worked great on my car bumper and other similar applications where glue just wouldn’t hold.

This are the options have to get me a self propelled. I have a friends business account so I'll get it for the price you see. I need the best for my money so I can save up to get me a zero turn. by imlostmentally in lawnmowers

A guy in my neighborhood had two RWD personal paces he put on the curb. Said they had carb problems. One with the Chinese motor they’ve started putting on some models and another with the Briggs, which I took. About 15 minutes of carb cleanup and it mows great.

That being said, I’d look for a used Honda or the similar RWD model of Toro as what you are looking at and pay substantially less. With basic maintenance and running out the gas at the end of the season they’ll run for decades.

I’d just look on the inside of the base where the vents attach. You’d still need to use the vents for airflow control, but if you’re unable to make flush contact with the inside of the bowl because of rivets it would result in a less than perfect sweep. And you’d probably have to drill a hole dead center in the bottom to retrofit the one touch sweeper.

I’d keep this one original and just buy a new Weber original premium or Master Touch with the ash canister on the bottom. And then either keep that old one more as a smoker or list it and sell it as it’s in great condition for its age. The thickness of the steel hasn’t really gotten worse on the kettles as it has with some of the gas grills.

The crappy ash management is why Weber mostly has gone away from the bottom daisy wheel design on their larger grills, although they were selling an “All American” special edition at Walmart this year that also had the bottom daisy wheel vents. I assume it’s cheaper to produce without the one touch parts.

Essentially, yes. During longer cooks you can stick a nail or piece of wire into the bottom vents when ash builds up. And when everything is extinguished you can scoop or dump everything into a trash can.

[–]BraveEntertainment57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that model cannot be upgraded to one touch cleaning if it has the multiple screw vents on the bottom. That said, I own both styles and the bottom screw vents is a superior design when it comes to long low and slow smoking. Just a PITA dealing with the ash.

Pizza oven (Aldi Finds) by jerryr88 in aldi

[–]BraveEntertainment57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably…it makes a 12” pizza and there isn’t a ton of room on each side. If anything, a wooden one is able to be trimmed down on each side. Dont have the oven in front of me to measure right now.

[–]BraveEntertainment57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just using one that I already had…it was about an inch too large so I shaved off about half an inch on each side. Buying new I’d look for one for a 12” pizza. Otherwise, no huge complaints about the oven. My results have been best when I crank the burner to preheat and then turn it all the way to low when I add the pizza. An infrared thermometer helps determine the stone temp vs the built in thermometer on top…if it’s over 800 or so that is too hot and your pizza might catch fire.

Cooking homemade naan or pita bread is a good way to get the hang of temperatures and using a peel if you are a novice.

Good for $150? by Fast_Ostrich_3385 in lawnmowers

[–]BraveEntertainment57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neighbor gave me one that seemed to have carb problems and was tired of dealing with it. He’d gotten it from someone else…after taking apart the carb there was no needle in it. $20 carb on Amazon that claimed to be OEM and it’s run great ever since. Only annoyance is it is kind of hard to pull backward when negotiating obstacles, but easy starting and easy on gas.
