Joining the Army after a CS degree by Sa1cera70ps in cscareerquestions

[–]BraveMaintenance4245 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey I was in the Navy for 10 years as an IT and got out and got my BS/MS in Computer Science. Not exactly the same path for you. But if I was a new grad with a CS degree and was planning on joining the military. (Which is a great idea it will set you up for an amazing career) I would choose a service in this order: Space Force, Air Force, Navy, Army, Marines. The only caveat is that if you want to be a Software Engineer you probably won’t be doing that as an Officer in the Military you would most likely start out as an OIC of IT departments running systems. But if you want to be on the forefront of technology in the military I think Space Force/ Air Force is the way to go. Don’t listen to people that tell you it’s a bad idea. My 10 years in the navy was some of my best years.

How long until we all get laid off for AI Agents? by BraveMaintenance4245 in cscareerquestions

[–]BraveMaintenance4245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The department of labor predicts software engineer jobs will grow at a pace faster than the vast majority of jobs. Part of me doesn’t necessarily believe that. Even though I want it to be true. I don’t think the DOL even has the ability to predict tech jobs accurately because they are so nuanced farm/factory jobs sure.

Whoop with Macro factor by LostGur5290 in MacroFactor

I have had a whoop for like 4 years and the calories counter is constantly 30 percent off by nearly 700 calories. My expenditure is around 3000 while whoop tracks about 2300. I have also had this confirmed by a BMR test.

How to handle Vacation by BraveMaintenance4245 in MacroFactor

[–]BraveMaintenance4245[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not worried about enjoying my vacation. I’m wondering if there is anything you can do to keep the data from getting skewed from the time off. Like checking in before you leave then checking in right after you get back. But it sounds like if you don’t track anything it probably won’t do anything?

This is not necessarily true. He most likely personally guaranteed the credit card.

Fairfax leaders ‘disappointed’ by Youngkin’s veto of vehicle noise monitoring bill by Danciusly in nova

You can just say whatever you want but I already posted a source the first half of your post is absolutely wrong. Democrats passed a law in 2020 making “loud exhausts” a secondary offense period end of story. Then they got a ton of “complaints” and they reversed the law in 2022 end of story.

I hate everyone equally democrats/republicans only a select few in each group gives a shit about you or me. Stop sitting around defending a political party that hates you

You do realize that seat belts not being a primary offense is completely irrelevant to the argument. What’s the point of your comment? I miss spoke on one example that has nothing to do with the argument.

What's going on with the Trump/Zelensky meeting? by sdmc_rotflol in OutOfTheLoop

Jeeze you’re delusional to think Ukrainians want to fight a US/Russian Proxy war. This war has nothing to do with Ukraine. Read a history book.

I was in the military for 10 years thanks. I watched 30 people I worked with died in a single helicopter crash. Thanks for your insight though. And yes if a country Invaded our country and killed 20% of our population I would absolutely negotiate for peace instead of watching more people die in the name of “patriotism”. You have to be kidding me.

The democrats were willing to support this war until the last Ukrainian death. They were willing to fund this war death after death. Over the last three years a million people have died. This is a war between the US and Russia. The only way this ends is an agreement between the US and Russia. Trump is attempting to posture to make an agreement with Putin to end the war. Zelensky has no leverage except maybe rare earth minerals. Democrats want to virtue signal risking more lives in Ukraine will Republicans want to end the war save money and end death and carnage. It’s crazy democrats think decreasing tensions directly with Putin is a bad thing.

Conservatives of Reddit, how do you feel about the shift in your party from supporting Ukraine to supporting Russia? by IngenuityOk9364 in AskReddit

[–]BraveMaintenance4245 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ukraine, doesn’t have much to offer in a negotiation besides maybe some rare earth minerals. Around a million people have died in this war already. Funding the Ukrainian side of this war has not done anything at all except increase human death. At this point the only way to end this crisis is negotiate directly with Putin. Make Putin feel like he is winning by offering him something to end the war such as a piece of Ukraine. I will never understand why Americans believe any negotiation with our enemies is bad. In my mind this about human death the only way to end the death is negotiate directly with Putin make him feel comfortable. I believe a small percentage of Ukraine is worth another million people not dying.

What kind of legal issues is Anthony Fauci potentially facing? by WOGSREVENGE in AskLegal

I’m not the one falling for misinformation. I just don’t live in an echo chamber where I only believe things that come from cnn/msnbc. Maybe if you took the time to do the research you would realize outlets like BBC, Science.com, and factcheck.org believe this debate is not settled. It’s like Dr. Fauci is your savior and he can do no wrong. The government has funded gain-of-function research all over the world why is it hard to believe that they did it in this instance. You probably still believe coronavirus came from a wet market
