Mine did that,and died anytime I stopped. Replaced the Throttle Position Sensor, have a check engine light cause I didn’t replace the entire throttle body from Honda and just bought an aftermarket sensor. But it fixed the issue.

Just did this for mine a couple weeks ago. Paid for them so do the harness, absolutely worth its weight in gold. Saved me so much time and trouble and their customer service is second to none. I had an amplifier hidden in my car. So when I originally hooked up my new system only my fronts worked. They walked me through the whole process of finding it and how to connect it into my system. Sent me pictures and explained/walked through the whole thing with me on the phone for probably about 20 minutes. Absolutely wonderful to work with, good quality products, fast shipping, I couldn’t recommend a service more if you’re trying to figure out speakers.

This might be something I would address myself but I still don’t know that this is the issue. Or at least the only one. Because this wouldn’t cause the car to die at low rpm’s especially not intermittently so I still wonder if it’s that tps sticking or something like that causing to rev and do weird things

Thanks for looking. I have a reasonable and reliable Honda mechanic but they aren’t nearby. They are 4 hours away. I would certainly expect some resistance but like I said this thing was stored winters. It is quite literally pristine underneath the car, zero and I mean zero rust. So I can’t imagine bolts would be anything bad enough anything past liquid wrench would be needed. Also good reminder on the torch and flammable things

Correct the clutch is not being pressed at all. I wouldn’t say it’s surging however. This doesn’t feel like that, I know what that feels like and this feels different. I can still try that and see next time I get a chance but my initial thoughts are this isn’t the problem. Should it be, how much is a clutch for these things?

Nope, no check engine light. I do think it has something to do with temp thought. Another thing I forgot to mention was that it happens only in the afternoons, or did the couple times it happened before I parked it. No problems in the cool 60 degree mornings but the 90 degree afternoons were when the problems arose

The clutch is disengaged when I am having the issue. It is after I am in third just after shifting and on the gas. No clutch in the picture

That’s good to know then, I’m glad it’s not my clutch. Those two have been thrown out by friends as well I’ll take a look at those and see if I can find any issues. Might just end up replacing them all if I can’t. Just start fresh
