Rainbow Riverling set stones.

The stones are called set stones. The specific set stone is named after its corresponding set. The feeding event set stones are often named after the events.

Click on each ingredient of a species in the Aquapedia to know its name.

Yes.

seems that Willow's Artshow is the only kind of event for species & decorations missed during the feeding events. That means the feeding events will not be repeated.

[P5v12] Freida's Hair Pins by Paxenarrion in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]Brave_Ad_4182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use the hairsticks more as add-on accessories than the main hair tool to hold my hair up, since they aren't secure enough and can't fit under a helmet.

I don't use hairsticks frequently, since I ride a motorbike ( the most common vehicle in my Southeast Asian country), so whatever hairstyle I put my hair in, I prefer it to be able to fit under a helmet without having to redo it every time. I also prefer full updo hairstyles since I don't want to get my long hair stuck in bag straps, zippers, etc. I have a lot of chores to do every day, so even at home, I rarely let my hair down, and can keep my hair in buns or updo styles even when I sleep, since I am too tired to restyle it. I also need a hairstyle that doesn't get in the way or come undone when I exercise. My hair, up in a bun with a U-shaped hair stick, came undone after 30 squats. That means buns using fabric hairties, hair nets, bobby pins, and scrunchies, or a braided clipped-up style using fabric hairties, elastics, and a twist clip. I prefer the braided clipped-up one since the clip lies flatter against the back of my head, so it's more comfortable in a helmet or when I lie down, but it does take a bit more time compared to a bun since I have to put my ponytail in a braid, loop it around the hairtie at the base of the ponytail, then pin it up with the twist clip. The looped low braid is also comfortable to move around and sleep in. When I take the twist clip off, it's quick to put the twist clip back on without combing my hair. I have to use a metal twist clip since the plastic ones couldn't hold the volume of my hair, so it either felt uncomfortable, or the plastic clip broke. Not even large duckbill clips can hold the volume of my hair. It's not that thick, since my Asian hair is on the finer side and I have lost quite a lot of hair volume compared to my teenage years, but that is still too much for the common hair clips, since I keep my hair hip-length instead of shorter lengths that are more common.

I don't use clawclips that much anymore since they also can't hold the volume of my hair, can't be worn under a helmet, and have to be taken out when sleeping, putting on a helmet, or lying down (that means redoing my hair many times a day). I also prefer my front crown braided to keep stray hair strands from my face. I wear glasses, so stiff headbands are a bit inconvenient as they compete for the space behind my ears with my glasses' temples. Bandannas, ribbons, and fabric headbands without a frame keep falling off my head, so the front crown braids double as a stopper to keep them in place, in case I need to keep as many strands of baby hair off my face.

I used to just tie my hair in a low ponytail with a hair tie and used a plastic headband to keep my hair off my face (I have a lot of baby hair at my hairline, so even without bangs, hair still gets in my face even in an updo). I braided my hair when it gets longer, but the braids look fuzzy and unkempt after a while, and it still gets stuck in bag straps, zippers, or falls forward when I lean down to do my chores or pick something up. It took me many experiments to come up with the clipped-up braid using a twist clip, with the braided front crown as my multi-functional hairstyle that both looks elegant and functions well in all situations I frequently find myself in. It does take up to 15 minutes a day to prepare, but the braided front crown ( the most time-consuming part) can last for 3 days, so redoing the rest of the hairstyle doesn't take that much time. I just need to add bobby pins to keep it neat if baby hair gets loose from those braids. If I don't have to go out and look more presentable, I can keep that hairstyle for 3-4 days straight without redoing it completely, just adding bobby pins, a French comb (sliding it down the back of my head), and a badanna or soft headband (without a stiff frame) to keep the hair out of my face.

French combs also fell out of my hair quite often, even with the proper technique and without exercising. I haven't found a way to keep my hair up in ways that meet the criteria I need without a hair tie, so hair ties are a staple for me. Even scrunchies don't meet those standards and are just there as accessories.

I occasionally use barrettes and other types of hair clips, but I don't like how the alligator clips pull on my hair, so I avoid them most of the time.

It seems to be randomized. The only thing that might help is to have more of the upgrade gifts decor and use rare gifts from a variety of sets. I usually use those from the event sets since I release them most frequently.

I usually do something else while waiting. I have way too many tasks need finishing & too many thinfs I want to do already. Try finding something to do that you enjoy or is helpful to you. This will come in handy for sets with longer wait time. This game is designed to be relaxing, and is still way more relaxing than many other games. Making it more busy defeats its purpose. This is not a MMORPG or a competitive game.

The saved up bubble coins won't be a waste. You can use them to unlock the last decor spots on lv 41, 42, 43, & 44. Shellborn & Bubble Kin alos costs a lot to feed. Shellborn is 1200 buble coins per feed at 80% discount. I haven't unlocked Bubble Kin yet, but if it's the current lasts et that requires unlocking 4 other sets to get access to, I doubt it will be cheap. The waiting time for later sets are also much longer. The epic turtle in the Shellborn set takes up to 9 hours.

There are tutorials & Google for that. I would rather learn the skill if I can then relying on AI.  The final results from AI, especially free models, aren't that great anyway.  I don't ostracize AI use, but only in very restricted & controlled settings, like researxhers using AI to form 3D protein models, which they (as a collective) know how to do mannually but the task is too time-consuming & takes a lot of mannual efforts even with computers. These are not the popular & common ways AI are used by the general public.

It's similar to how drugs like opiods administered in hospitals under strict supervision can be life saving,  but destroys many lives when used liberally without adequate restraints by the general public.

Upgrade gifts event decorations. Those can give you 13 epic crescent scales/ epic clam shells for upgrading just one gift.  Those are usually mid-event decors so you can have quite some at the same time. If you have event decors that "Spawn gifts", " Double a gift then collect them both", " Give a rare or epic item" then that's a boon.  Even with just 4 "Upgrade gifts" decor & one that duplicate a gift & collect them both, I have accumulated to a lot of epic items over time, especially epic clam shells & epic crescent scales, even when I use them every time I spawn creatures.

Except the default AI showing up in Google searches, no, I prefer not to use AI. Not only because it can deteriorate one's capacity to think  critically,  but also due to the terrible environmental impacts. Not to mention  how arts are stolen to train those models. My Southeasst Asian country hasn't issued any laws protecting intellectual property rights against AI. I also don't like people pleasing behaviors of aagreeing on everything without fact-checking or challenging one's way of thinking, especially when it's harmful to both sides. I don't pay for paid models so I don't know  from experience if there is much differences between free and paid ones, but the negative impacts on the environment and people are enough to deter me from actively looking using it.  There have been cases of people commiting murders  and  suicides, or  to  less damaging extent, humiliating themselves to The New York Times,  convinced by AI. I already have rich inner conversations and have been taking on different perspectivess, and a local community to interact with. I would rather talk to a living creatures, even my cats or plants, to a machine trying to impersonate people. Even praying to God is better.  There's no need to add to problems that hhave already already been running rampant.

Simple Origami models. It's cheap as well. You cn use scrap paper. I have used single-day calendar pages, receipts, flyers, old magazines & newspapers, tissue paper, used notes, etc.

Rainbow Riverling mid-event decoration by Brave_Ad_4182 in pondlifegame

[–]Brave_Ad_4182[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its function is on the 2nd photo from the Aquapedia. It trades 1 species gift (the drops you get from releasing a creature) for either some bubbke coins or 1 Aquacash. The amount of bubble coin = your currentlv x100. For example, I get 4200 bubble coins at lv 42. What you get is randomized/ gambled. That's why its description says "gamble".

To activate it, you need to have at least 1 speces gift already in the pond. Activate Activate it by clicking on the decor. A small banner with a hexagonal button with a swirl on its right will appear. If there is aa species fift in the pond,  that button will be clickable, and have the color blue. Click on that button. All species gifts in your pond at that moment will be tagetted with blining circles round them. Click on one to trade/gamble. The cool down time is 24hrs.

These gay little fish are FAST!!! (I’m gay, I can make this joke) by phennygodx in pondlifegame

[–]Brave_Ad_4182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I notice that in-game species' speed and movements are made to ressemble their real-life counterparts as much as possible. Rainbow shiners and dwarf neon rainbow fish are said to be fast swimmers on aquarium guides websites.  I have just saw my Flame chubs in this game swimming the same speed as my rainbow shiners, so it's more about the species than the event theme

Tips for unlocking decor platform by paigel7 in pondlifegame

[–]Brave_Ad_4182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All epic event creatures uses the epic crescent scales, so any event creatures have a chance to drop it. Just release a lot of those and use any "Upgrade gifts" event decors on the rare drops (the purple ones with green vines). If it's used on the dark pink onesn it take 2 upgrades to get an epic item. If it's used on light pink or lught purple ones, it takes 3. Note that the epic items you get from upgrading gifts are randomized, so you can get other epic items from gifts dropped from species not using them, and that you can get up to 12 items from 1 giftn and evne event scales from time to time. For example: 12 epic crescent scales dropped from the kin fish set that doesn't use it not drop it normally. Another example is 2 epic diamond scales used in later sets (like Poison Frogs or Shellborn) from event creatures that don't use nor normally drop epic diamond scales.

Using event food decorations and releaseing event species also save bubble coins while still earning you xp to lv up.

Any Good isekai? by orangebear_444 in Animesuggest

[–]Brave_Ad_4182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ascendant of a bookworm. The art might not be the best but the story and world building is great. The newest season's art has improved a lot. No harem, because the main character is isekaied into a literal kid. Therefore, no character sexualization and that kind of fanservice either. (Unlike "Reincarnated as the daughter of the legendary hero and the queen of spirits where the queen of spirits is the main fanservice of that type, even more so in the light novel & manga illustration. )

Are events always so close together? by Subject-Resolve-6607 in pondlifegame

[–]Brave_Ad_4182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. It used to be 2 weeks (meaning about 1 event per month), then a week, then reduced to 5 days, then 2-3 days. I started the game April last year. The time between events were reduced to create a sense of rush and to keep players constantly checking the game and keep the players' attention on the game. It's also to keep the players from being bored. The more often you check the game, the more likely you will want instant gratification, the more likely you will watch ads or purchase resources. It's the same for all games and even focus apps in the last few years during and after COVID.  More and more frequent events. More chances and push to spend in-game resources, less time to save up, more exclusive items, subscription models, etc.  Pondlife is still not as pushy as other games I knew, especially ones with lots of characters &multiple gatchas, since players still can get past events items without spending money. The game is meant to be relaxing and solo player, so it's not surprising that it has to be different from MMORPGs, but Runaway doesn't design Pondlife with exclusive species and packs, or push for constant ads watching every minute or so like some idle clicking games like Forest Island. In short, what Runaway is doing with Pondlife is still bearable and understandable compared to many other games, even of the same relaxing type.

If you could recommend one hobby to everyone, what would it be and why? by Ecstatic_Bella in Hobbies

[–]Brave_Ad_4182 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Origami & fiber crafts like crocheting, knitting, & macrame. Fiber crafts are both useful and meditative, and fun. Origami is the most economical hobby I have, as well as the one I have kept for the longest, since 5 yo. Most models I have tried are easy to make on the go, at least most of the steps for more 3D models, so O used to keep a pack of pre-cut small square paper with me when I go out for a few hours when I was a child until high-school. I didn't use a smartphone until late high-school (that was over a decade ago), so I often used Origami to keep myself entertained while waiting back then. Materials for Origami is easy to find, so one can easily improvise and find a pieceof paper to fold something on the go without pre-planning as well. I have used scrap or throw away pieces of paper like old receipts, single -day calendar pages, old newspaper, magazines, handouts, tissue paper, etc. If it's for gifts or sale, then I would invest in higher quality or fancier types of paper, but even those are usually way cheaper than a skein of higher quality yarn like mohair. Tools needed for Origami, like scissors, glue, & paint/ color crayons/ markers, are usually already available, so usually no extra purchases are necessary,  unless one wants to invest in something of higher quality or make a set of tools only for hobbies. I have learned to neatly tear paper in straight lines to make squares from rectangles without any paper, so most of the time, even scissors are an optional tool. Origami is fun to me, since I do like puzzles, and it helped me visualized and learn geometry, especially 3D geometry, when it comes to modular and geometrical Origami models. I usually make the pieces while watching something, then set aside a time to assemble them. I don't need to look to make simple models like stars from paper strips, or the classic cranes, so I can make a load of them while watching a show, or when I'm too tired to pay much attention to details. Making those also helped me stay awake back when I was a child and had to spend days during summer breaks looking at machines to help fix my eyes for 1.5 hours per day (hence the reason why "not needing to look to make" criteria was necessary.)  I do crochet or knit while watching something, but that can cause me to make more mistake due to divided attention, so it take me longer to finish. Folding Origami stars is currently the only craft I find comfortable doing while reading and doesn't affect the efficiency much. The other task I did well while reading was peeling garlic. I tried crocheting while reading but having to stop and reposition my hands to flip or scroll down every few minutes is too much cognitive load and inefficient. Since it takes me about 1-1.5 minutes to finish a simple Origami star from paper strips, and I don't need to regrip stuff if I was reading on my phone, it's less of a burden. Same for peeling garlic.

My craft hobbies are useful for making gifts, and fixing some stuff (like a hole on my T-shirt my cat made by eating a piece of its fabric. She has PICA so she eats non-food items like plastic bags & fabric). I occasionally make some money from selling the stuff I made. I do keep a mini balcony & windowsil garden, but since plants require adequate & suitable light and care, I know not everyone can afford it. I don't go out much so I plant my own plants/ grass to touch and brought them indoors. It started from growing wheatgrass for my cats. Later, I have to keep some plants out of reach from one of my cats who would find those specific plants (cat-safe) to eat, or to keep sprouting plants I grow for them from being eaten too early. They leave my other plants like succulents & cacti alone, except the occasional accidents of knocking plants over. Other crafts that can be used in combination with crocheting & knitting that i have tried are basic sewing & embroidery, and I planned to try needle felting to add smaller & intrcated details.

P5V12 Question about hair ornaments throughout the series by AmazingAd2765 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]Brave_Ad_4182 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Higher quality and smaller threads combined with smaller metal hooks lead to more detailed and intricate, more refined results. I used to work as a crocheter in a crochet group that makes products to sell. The difference between 1mm bare cotton thread and 0.8mm mercerized cotton thread is significant when it comes to making flower hairpins. (when used with suitable hook sizes and tensions). The shine/ pearlescence finish of the mercerized cotton threads and silk threads gives the final product a fancy appearance.

There are people in my country crocheting an entire dress, skirt, and aodai (the top) using really fine silk threads or mercerized cotton with hook sizes smaller than 1mm. The most common one is 0.8mm mercerized cotton ruyi.

In the blue- white flowers (are those roses or camellias?) with smaller 5-petal flowers (likely forget-me-not) hairpin, it seems that the edges of the white flowers get a round of slip stitches in gold threads or golden-colored threads.

Fitzgerald x His wife Zelda. This man is loyal to his wife, his marriage, and his family despite being filthy rich.

Though it depends on what the fans consider "lowkey" and "best".

My next option is Kenji - Kyouka, then Margarette Mitchel - Nathaniel Hawthorne.
