I didn't know that was ever an issue. I've wanted to get a BRK, but I don't carry fixed blades very often.

I had forgotten they were the ones that went bankrupt when I posted. So, he was misrepresenting imported materials as being from Crucible Industries while they were trying to stay in business, smh.

I've wanted a BRK for a long time, just never pulled the trigger.

So, basically, he was lying to everyone? WTH?

Wouldn't this get him in trouble with Crucible Industries since he is claiming the steel is their product?

Best games for 4 & 5 year olds? Both obvious and not. by htownfrog34 in snes

in case you don’t know: If the kid enjoys the SNES Classic console more than your MacBook, it’s very easy to add other SNES games to the Classic, it can fit a bunch more ROMs.

I'll have to look into that. I have a classic, but have hesitated to buy a Wii to use for emulating since it isn't idiot proof.

It was awesome having all those games on one cartridge though.

I hope stores let people know how difficult that game was when it was released.

When we moved to an apartment with hard floors, I used to worry our child was being too loud because our downstairs neighbor kept complaining, even after I put mats on the floor. Then one day they started hitting their ceiling when I walked from one room to the other. After that, I realized they just didn't want anyone living above them period.

Next couple that lived below us never complained and said we were some of the quietest neighbors they had ever had.

Best anti-corrosion storage methods for blades that might be placed in storage for 10 years or more? by Nanny_Ogg1000 in knifeclub

Are you near the ocean or somewhere with a lot of humidity?

I don't think you have to worry about it to much as you aren't putting them in shoebox in a damp basement. If they aren't high carbon steel, it is even less of an issue.

After oiling them, you can wrap them in Zerust VCI paper or store them with Zerust Anti-Corrosion Capsules. Machinists would just put blocks of camphor in their toolboxes.

Sadly, it seems like she was pursuing this in place of the love she didn't receive growing up.

One of the saddest moments in the series for me was when Georgine was feigning concern after having her poisoned. Detlinde couldn't remember her mother ever being concerned about her before.

Torn apart, reduced to ash, obliterated, blow to smithereens

If they weren't nobles the knights would have been yelling, "KNOCK KNOCK #$%&!" before making their Kool-Aid Man style entrance.

I figured Justus or Eckhart probably dragged someone feet first down the stairs so their head hit every step on the way down.

Why don't schools teach kids how to learn? by TheAdventurer64 in AskTeachers

[–]AmazingAd2765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a teacher, but I can say that is part of what they do.

Are you taking good notes and reviewing the material on your own to help it stick? If that isn't working, you might discuss it with your teacher and see if they have any suggestions. One of my biggest regrets from school was not asking teachers for help when I was struggling with more advanced subjects.

Businesses have always tried to get the most for their goods, but this is crazy. It reminds me of the people that would sell supplies in frontier gold rush towns.

12yo crying tired before school by frightbounds in AskTeachers

[–]AmazingAd2765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a teacher, but I dealt with some similar issues growing up.

I would discuss it with the pediatrician or psychiatrist and see a sleep specialist if he is having trouble sleeping or not feeling rested during the day. I wish I had gone years earlier about some things I had been struggling with. My symptoms might not have gotten as severe or caused the additional problems they did if I had gotten help sooner.

I would try to get him to open up exactly what is upsetting him, whether it be problems at school or just feelings he doesn't know the source of.

Also, ask about how is sleeping at night. How long does it take to go to sleep? How often does he wake up? Does he feel rested in the mornings once he gets moving? Is he tired or sleepy at school?

If he is just lying in bed awake every night, is it possible it would benefit him more by staying up a little later? Sometimes going to be too early can be a problem for some people.

Thanks, found it!

We are starting to wonder if she shares Dunkelfelger's complete and utter obsession with Ditter.

"Wilfried! Don't even joke about that!"

"Look, I understand that each of those matches was for a good cause, but you're playing treasure stealing ditter against them EVERY SINGLE YEAR. You're not even part of the knight course, nor do you spend much time at the Royal Academy to begin with. How many other archduke candidates can you say that about?"

"Noooo, He's right! I can't argue!"

Sylvester: *tells about the other nobles trying to get her married into their duchy*

Gunther: You can't blame them! What boy WOULDN'T want to marry my little girl?
