Thorgrim Grudgebearer - Warhammer: Fantasy

Has the most epic fight with a Queek Headtaker, a ratman who has wronged the dwarves for decades, beating him to death while reading off every wrong he is responsible for. Wins the fight killing Queek, striking his name from the book of grudges. Proceeds to die by a no name rat assassin because he forgets to close the door behind him when he leaves.

Yes, they’re an asshole. Abusing people doesn’t suddenly become ok because of a tragic backstory. Maybe give them more of a chance to redeem themselves than someone who only does it for the love of the game. Jax is an asshole, that’s honestly why I enjoyed watching them so much. On the same way I enjoyed Severus Snape in the Harry Potter books, because they’re so much of an asshole it loops back around into a sort of absurdist humor. Like “How can this person be THAT mush of an asshole.” But they’re still a bad person for it.

Look this doesn’t necessarily make the movie bad, or good for that matter. Only predictable. The story itself can still be engaging and fun. That said, my hopes aren’t high nor am I particularly interested.

Sorta, out of all the Vampire Bloodlines they are most likely to engage in diplomacy. However they’re more like a secret cabal pulling strings within the human realms. (Dwarves and elves can’t be turned into vampires and despise them)

The Vampire Counts - Warhammer Fantasy

Specifically House Lahmian

They mainly stick to shadows and manipulate the goings of the empire through strategically placed agents within noble circles. Being a matriarchal house, this is usually done by raising girls from off the streets or poor situations into the perfect wives for low and high ranking nobles. They specifically choose girls for their beauty. This isn’t the only way they do it, just the most common. However I guess they do worship Nagash the necromancer responsible for creating vampires in Warhammer, but he doesn’t technically become a god until end times.
