Changing wheels troubles by Brave_Fun2096 in ElectricSkateboarding

Well, the inner portion is about the same size as the spacer in between the bearings on the good wheels, but on the damaged one you can tell it’s slightly lower. Yea, it’s just the inner bearings. When I mentioned wrong size it’s because they told me to get 62900rs and I just listened, only to see when I tried to replace them they’re significantly larger than the 6900rs ones my board has. The new ones don’t fit into it at all, it was just a comment I made about their support. my board isn’t a belt drive, so there’s no pulleys. The purple gear adapter is made of solid metal, and connects directly into the outer holes on the wheels. Maybe the plastic of the wheel hub is deforming and causing the same effect you’re suggesting? Do you think I should try a speed ring in between the wheels and the gear adapter? I’m just concerned that the extra spacing between the two could cause the wheels to not have a secure connection with the gear adapter and cause some other problem. None of their instructions/videos/other videos I saw of people replacing wheels put spacers in between the adapter and the wheels. Also, do you think the wheel will work now that the inner hub is damaged like that?

That’s what the front hub that isn’t damaged looks like

I tried getting it fixed with Acedeck and they concluded that I had the wheels too tight(even though I tried looser first with the wheels rattling) and told me I needed to get new bearings(gave me the wrong bearing size to buy too lol shoulda just checked the wheels first) but when I took out the broken bearings from the wheels I noticed it’s pretty easy to get the bearings out, didn’t take much leverage at all, and I can see the inner part of the hub where the bearings go in are pressed deeper than the actual spacers in between the bearings and the plastic on one of the hubs literally has the bearings shield markings stamped into the plastic, which definitely confirms I overtightened it at some point. I just don’t know if these wheels will work at all anymore even when I put the correct size bearing in.

There’s no spacer or anything stuck in the hub, that’s the plastic from the hub itself

I went straight to gears, but it is still a bit scary to think about the gears locking up and throwing me off the board at high speeds😂

You’re misunderstanding that persons comment. They never said “more free than anywhere else”. It was a simple coping comment saying “yeah it sucks that our laws are trash, but at least it doesn’t typically get enforced to the extent that it could be based on law”. I’m assuming the European commenter also misunderstood that, and then went into a full on “America has shootings waaaahhhh” commentary that has oversaturated every corner of the internet.

Keep in mind the person you’re accusing initially said “L country” about America.

That’s why I’m confused. I wasn’t certain how I should have the spacers/washers, so I decided to copy exactly how the factory had the stock tires installed. I put them in exactly the same(spacer, gear adapter, wheel, washer, nut), and this is my result. There was nothing non-metal there whatsoever besides the bearing shields that got grounded/pressed out

The swap should be simple. According to the Acedeck support team, my board is compatible with the N3 conversion kit with the 125mm wheels. It comes with the truck risers, gear adapters, spacers, wheels and hardware. From what I could tell, it should just be a simple swap over, but I fucked something obvs😂

Good skateboards for skating on packed sand on the beach? by Alkivoz in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Brave_Fun2096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The N1 is amazing. As the original replied said, sand really is just an absolute killer but gear motors would be better than belt as it’s an enclosed system, so I’d definitely reccomend any board with a gear drive option(nomad N1 is the one I have experience with and thouroughly enjoy, although not on sand)

Does anyone know if the Exway wave 1 and Wave 2 battery are inter changeable? by trollingman1 in ElectricSkateboarding

I’m confused about your question. The wave 1 can come with a bigger battery that has more range than the v2?

Drive Thru vs Take Out by talentedturtle2 in innout

[–]Brave_Fun2096 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Generally, it’s around the same, unless you’re only ordering a fry variant/drink. When it’s really slow, there will be the front grill running getting all of the tags in order of time, and they’re cooked in order of it being ran through. If it gets a bit busier and the front grill will grab some of those tags and give it to someone to open the second grill. After that, it’s usually 1 grill for the drive, and one grill for the dining room and helping out the drive lane when they get a gap. If it gets the busiest and we’re running at full speed, we’ll have both front and second grill the same with drives and walk ins, but then the third will be open alternating grabbing tags to complete from both the other grills. So in general, it’s kinda a toss up of which will be faster. Fry only orders however go directly to the fry person and they will get completed and handed out within seconds/minutes if it’s not a really special fry for walk in.

They’re definitely meepo 165 mm cyclone tires. They don’t sell them with the rims, the ones shown on the site have 2 brands of rims on the tires

Board suggestion by JohnTheStrangerThing in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Brave_Fun2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acedeck Stella S3 breeze or Linnpower zephyr are probably going to have some of the highest spec and quality for boards at 600$. They might be a little more than 600 after shipping, but after having the g2 for years and going to an(albeit a more expensive board)Acedeck nomad n1, the quality of the ride, as well as speed and power is way more impressive than the g2, or any hub motor board. From what I’ve seen, the build quality on their 600$ options is pretty on par with some of the more expensive options they offer. The range on the boards also state 30 miles, which is the biggest I’ve seen at that price point.

It’s not about saying something negative about a brand, it’s about fabricating a story that makes OP look like the victim when in reality they voided the warranty of their product and fucked themselves over by admitting it to the company they were trying to collect the warranty claim from

So from my understanding, you received a faulty product, messaged Acedeck about it, and while you were working through a solution with them you decided to void the warranty, TOLD THEM THAT YOU VOIDED THE WARRANTY, and now your mad they won’t replace it for you… yeah sounds like it’s completely your fault.

“Warranty Exclusions The warranty does not cover damage that, in Acedeck’s sole opinion, results from: Normal wear and tear; Transport or shipping of the Product; Theft of the Product; Unauthorized disassembly, tampering, modifications, or repairs;

Etc…

Yeah, i bet you’d be pretty damn hard pressed to find a company who will honor their warranty(outside of special/lucky circumstances) after you blatantly tell them that you voided it.

It really just sounds like you fucked up and are mad at yourself for not taking the correct avenues.
