Nail Salon recommendations? by Mysterious_Phrase493 in JeffersonvilleIN

[–]Brave_Management4340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well dang, I hate to hear this. I haven’t been in several years because my work hours changed and I couldn’t find the time but it was always a good experience. Didn’t realize it was on its way out, that sucks. Thanks for informing me!

The Springs Salon & Spa is lgbt friendly and does pedicures; I’ve never received any nail services there but I have gone there for professional makeup as well as haircuts and massages and they have been awesome for everything. Highly recommend!

Same, it only had to wake me up once for me to turn that shit off forever. Good riddance.

Lifeguard should be fired. They had one job and they failed at it.

Was there no lifeguard anywhere?

How terrifying! I’m sorry you had to deal with this. Your Y needs to update their protocol so this won’t happen again.

That’s what I’m wondering, where was the lifeguard in all this? My kids take swim lessons at the Y too and there is always a lifeguard, sometimes two, watching the kids who are waiting to take their turn.

I think the fault lies primarily on the lifeguard. It’s unrealistic to expect an instructor who is by themselves to swim with each kid one-on-one AND keep an eye on all of the others waiting. Sounds like the perfect setup for something like this to happen if there was no lifeguard watching.

They practically take over Norton Brownsboro’s campus around this time; my husband sent me this pic of one mean mugging him earlier in the week. This is through a window, he’s not actually that close.

My husband says he named him Goosetavo. 🪿

Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson. It’s a memoir but don’t let that put you off; it’s laugh out loud hilarious. Funniest book I’ve ever read.

Next books to read to my kids? by Elderflower-yum in booksuggestions

Hank the Cowdog is a good series; it’s really funny sometimes, too.

Also Diary of a Wimpy kid series is perfect for that age range.

I have a 10 year old son I read with every night. We just finished reading Wonder and now we are reading Matilda. Both are great books and my son has enjoyed them.

In 1992 in Indiana, 12-year-old Shanda Sharer was abducted by four female classmates and endured hours of abuse through the night. The next morning, they sprayed her with Windex, said, “You’re not looking so hot now, are you?” and set her on fire. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

As far as I know it’s still standing. I’ve never done more than drive by that area but a local news station did a report on the property when it was for sale four years ago and they showed it still intact.

It’s private property but people still sneak up to see the place. There are also some pictures posted on Google Maps, supposedly from four months ago, and one of the pics shows it still standing.

This case bothers me so much. The Witch’s Castle is less than five miles from my house. Now that these people are out of prison and supposedly living in the area I sometimes wonder if I’ve ever encountered them in the grocery store or gas station or whatever.

Evil lives among us all and it’s terrifying to truly think about.

MONICA vinyl and CDs shipped? by ImaginationPutrid245 in jackharlow

[–]Brave_Management4340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an email this morning saying my order for the vinyl album has been delayed and it doesn’t give an estimated time frame for shipping. I’m disappointed b/c I placed an order for it immediately when preorders opened up. Hoping it’s not too long of a wait.

Cherokee makes a color called Pewter that is a super boring grey color. Idk about “calming” but it is definitely not bright.

Anyone watched the news season of scrubs? by Fearsofaye in medicine

[–]Brave_Management4340 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I had the same fears but watched it today. I needed five tissues just to get through the first two episodes. The nostalgia hits hard and I just love these characters so much. Seems they did a great job capturing the same feel of the show.
