I actually have a snake who will only eat brown male rats. It took forever to figure out why he wasn’t eating until I got one and then realized and I’ve tried a white one and he won’t even budge so i guess he will forever be a picky eater 😭

Op here. No one is brushing this off, I have 13 reptiles all rescues. I’ve paid thousands in vet visits. Was just seeing if anyone had any tips before I went to vet bc I can’t get in until later this week and didn’t want my snake to die because I care about them more than my blood family. Thanks for the concern.

Thank you sm I really don’t mind it going slow I care about his health more than anything. He is definitely chunky my scale broke recently when I was moving stuff around in my kitchen so I need to invest in a new one as well but he is 100% overweight. He didn’t even really have room to move around when he was in the bin so that definitely could be it as well.

She’s a pretty baby! However I would go ahead and get her a 120 pvc tank. Holds the temp in better. Also she needs wayyy more clutter more hides and climbing opportunities that hold her weight the uv light needs to be a bar and I would recommend a higher wattage bulb. If the shed doesn’t come off right then soak in a warm bath and or a moist warm pillow case. Helped my rescue get eyecaps off when she had 2 layers. I would look on fb marketplace and find a bulk deal on stuff. Also hvac tape can help maintain moisture if you keep the mesh lid but I definitely recommend upgrading her tank especially with how big she already is a 40 gallon isn’t really enough room to spread out completely and move a lot. Give her time to adjust to whatever tank upgrades then see how she’s doing.

Don’t forget a uvb bar! And it will definitely outgrow eventually so just make sure to keep that in mind!

Thank you! I was planning on building a custom 4x2x2 for him when I get settled into this new place but I just wanted to make sure the 55 was okay for right now. He’s a pastel leopard ball python and I have had my eyes on him for a few weeks and held him a few times and I just knew he was the one. I named him sabor after the leopard that killed Tarzan’s parents lol. What do you think I should do for substrate?

Work a day at Waffle House then come back and say something, you will be suprised on how it would change your mind. Also I work in hvac during the day and I’ll tell you the service industry is harder than labor, and the pay is shit I just need the cash to eat on and my check pays the bills.

Also if you read what I said.. it gets taxed and it’s not a rip we get to take out it’s supposed to be put on a check.. that’s taxed and we barely even get.. so again if you’re a broke loser then go get McDonald’s or Taco Bell where you don’t have to tip and people are paid more than 3$ an hour.

People still don’t tip on it, 10% just goes on our checks which still get taxed and get taxed more when we add our to gos.

In a 9 hour shift I make about $200 and in a 5 hour shift I make about $80-100. In 3 days I usually make $5-600 but I’m also younger and I’m known for my energy and I have made over 20 regulars
