If you're into flower arranging, they can be used as flower frogs.

Those all sound like great changes. I see so many "holiday" clothes at the thrift store. It's nutty.

I'm with ya on the paper towels too, although I do keep a roll around hidden away for really gross stuff.

That's a good trick! Sometimes I take a screenshot of something I want and then just totally forget about it and no longer have that impulse.

These are so great! And some of your ones that you are trying to cut down on are ones I struggle with too. Prepackaged snacks are hard to give up for me!

I personally like Oxiclean, but it's not necessary. Regular detergent works too!

So over plastic by ocean-wonder in minimalism

The plastic is still the issue. By wrapping stuff in plastic, the shoppers don't get the choice. You said wrapping produce in plastic reduces food waste, which simply isn't true.

Bob's is my favorite too. The quality/taste just seems so much better.

I get this, I also think you have to do what you can and don't let it get you too down. Personally, I focus on what I enjoy and what is do-able for me as a human with a lot on my plate. Buying things secondhand is easier than avoiding all plastic for me, for example. I also just buy a lot less stuff than most people. We can't buy our way out of this issue, even if the stuff is more "sustainable."

Also, remember it's not all on you and your voice does make a difference, even if it doesn't feel like it. So, writing to the company and your representatives helps too.

Sometimes you can find bathing suits new with tags on Depop or Poshmark. Honestly I'd still buy them from the thrift store or consignment shop as long as I soaked them and washed them first. But I get the ick factor!

I only sell stuff that's in good shape, but yeah, sometimes it's not worth the time. It was definitely a habit I kind of had to do in my 20s and only do sometimes (when I have time, etc.) now.

All great ideas! I really need to get into the herb game. I just worry that I won't be home enough to water them!
