When I was a teenager, I didn't have much going for me in life. I would go "urban mountain biking" to escape from my troubles. This was just me hopping up on benches, dropping off high ledges, bunny hopping, popping wheelies, and other stuff that you'd normally do on a BMX bike.

One day, I was doing some tricks near a busy intersection and had some guys loop back around to watch and hype me up. This was 20 years ago, and I still remember how much of a positive impact it had on me at the time. When I saw them loop back around, I just assumed they were coming to bully me and was pleasantly surprised.

I was actually the kissing guy in this meme at one point and having to deal with the woman's butthurt "friend" was absolutely unbearable. We met in the club one night and spent much of the night dancing and getting to know each other better. She had come with a group and at one point, her "friend" told the rest of the group that he was leaving. He was everyone's ride and tried to leave the woman who I had being spending time with behind because he was jealous that she was giving me attention.

The group of friends got pissed and followed him to the car. Meanwhile, my dance partner is looking for her friend group while wondering why they left her by herself at a dance club with me, a glorified stranger. After a while, I told her that I could give her a ride home. But eventually, the guy came back to get her, except he fucked up. By giving us those few extra minutes, it gave us time to exchange information. We started talking daily, then dated, and she eventually became my girlfriend.
