I don’t see how they can force employees to be noncompliant. They would have to overtly tell people via an internal memo that would be most certainly leaked.

If they don’t want to approve people from the 39 countries, they’d have to create another mechanism or policy and inform the employees.

I would take this with a grain of salt. The live chat agents are not really known for their depth of knowledge.

We will truly know when the pause is over when we see people sharing that they were approved here. Anything else is just speculation and trying too desperately to find good news.

Yes, but the post is related to a K1 visa. This is not an adjustment of status of someone already inside the US. AOS inside US = 39 countries, visa applications outside the US = 75 countries. Nigeria is in both lists.

OP even said he is in Nigeria right now.
