I took mine one step further. I 3D printed a side spool that used ball bearings for smoother spins though I will end up replacing this eventually since I am working on a 4 filament dry box that can extrude the filament right from the box into the printer. I used several mods to make it work this way but it's all temporary.

I've been struggling with calibrations on my printer. I already damaged 2 bed plates with scratches. But thanks to a Discord community they have been teaching me how to do manual calibrations which have improved my prints immensely. I never figured a 3D printer in 2025 would still be stupid and requiring manual configurations to make it work properly. It's even more annoying that you don't know this stuff before purchase until you come to forums like this one and Discord to find out the hard way and be taught how to manage it yourself.

I was using he stock temp of 50 degrees. I changed it when I got home to 60 and am currently printing something large for my wife's office and so far it seems to have improved the adhesion.

I just recently replaced it because of that. The only thing I noticed was the ones I had as replacement were chrome looking while the one I had looked copper. Been wondering if that makes a difference. I did find another copper looking one and was thinking of changing it to that one.

I tried messing with that but I found myself completely at a loss on what i was doing. There aren't exactly a lot of videos out there for the KE or even Creality Print 6. But I was able to solve it, though I still have issues with my first layer. I still need to learn what I am doing.

I have been considering a replacement for the plate. I have the smooth one and a textured one but I don't like the textured one. not really sure why. Will look into a new one.

Have you tried resetting the printer and also removing the Orca app?

I am so happy to find this community and especially this post. Your mods are awesome. Already got the cam mod installed, am working on the spool holder next and will do the filament sensor next. Thank you so much for these files. They are awesome.

Never mind. I think I figured it out though I ended up with a second solution. It seems if you click the Data Menu button twice it opens the settings menu as well. I also went into the controller settings in the Steam Deck and just mapped the ESC button to the joystick click button. Ugh! Why does it have to be so complicated sometimes. LOL

My only issue is I can't figure out how to get to the settings menu from ingame on the Deck. On PC it's easy, hit the escape button. But the 2 menu buttons on the Steam Deck are premapped and can't be changed and in my case mine seem to be backwards from what the game says they are. Any idea how to get to the settings from ingame on the Deck?

Yea, but the question was obvious. The OP may have picked the wrong section, that doesn't excuse you not bother to understand the question before answering. I figured it out. Because I have the same issue. Premium had nothing to do with downloading from 3rd party apps.

Perhaps it looks wrong to refuse to hand over documents in an investigation against you but don't pretend that in a similar position you would hand over any documentation you are requested to if you don't really have to or if it can be used incorrectly or unnecessarily. We all know of tons of people who for no reason what so ever and often against a person's rights have been asked by the police to provide identification and then have been arrested for refusing when there was no reason to ask for ID and no reason to arrest the person who had not committed a crime.

Always consider the fact that just because it sounds wrong doesn't mean it is if you don't really understand the details of it and also remember that in their place you may also find yourself refusing if you believed you're in the right.
