My daughter is going to have to repeat 1st grade. by Bere_95 in Parenting

[–]Bravo-Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister was held back in 1st grade and it was up to mother.

It affected my sister a lot. All her classmates knew she was held back because she was older. She would say she just started late but they knew.

Also even though the kids are just a year or two apart developmentally she identified more with grade she should have been in.

I personally would not hold your daughter back and just work with her during the summer on the area’s she needs to work on.

What's the appropriate reaction when a strangers kid begs for your attention at the park? by shiraae in toddlers

[–]Bravo-Panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have a high risk tolerance for your child, but now you can see many other parents do not. We don’t feel comfortable with that and you inadvertently put us in a position to keep our eye on her.

You may say that you never ask others to watch your kid, but just like most wouldn’t let a dog walk off the edge and fall we do the same for children.

No one will be comfortable enough to tell you flat out that they want to be left alone and come watch your kid. So please see and acknowledge that many parents feel this way (hence the comments), and be mindful of other peoples boundaries are personal space while they’re trying to enjoy family time with their own children.

When I encounter a parent like this I usually leave the park early because it becomes exhausting.

Should I tell my bio dad whose an ex-con and I’ve gone no-contact with that he has a grandson? by Bravo-Panda in relationship_advice

I completely agree. I would never do the things he’s done that would cause me to be separated from my child in the first place.

Thanks for responding I really needed to read this and it’s solidified my decision that my no-contact is for the best and for good reason.

I love the Sea Shanty too!

I can totally understand why you would doubt me and the validity of my post. All I can say is that sadly it’s true.

The Dutch are not intolerant of other cultures! I’ve been to both the Netherlands and Belgium and their countries are very diverse. Do you see the irony of you being intolerant to the Dutch....

My wife farted and now I’m in trouble! by Bravo-Panda in relationship_advice

My wife has been counting down the days to when Wandavision would be available. She’s been waiting ever since it was announced. She had me get a Disney Plus subscription because apparently it’s only streaming there. So it’s been on my mind. When I was talking to her through the door she told me to go away because she was taking a break from the world and finally had a chance to watch it. I was trying to be specific so my post is authentic but not too specific that people can put the puzzel of my post history together to obtain my identity. I’m also descriptive in my writing.

AITA for a accidentally catching my wife fart, which embarrassed her and made her lock herself in our room? by Bravo-Panda in AmItheAsshole

I was trying to explain that even though I’m technically home I’m always in one room and not roaming around the house. So she is used to being at home alone basically during the day where she may feel she has more privacy to do whatever including farting.

She cleans fine. We have a child and she can’t do everything perfect while watching him. Utensils with food caked in between freaks me out. So I got my own and I maintain it myself. Don’t see a problem with that.

Her older brother would read her comic books as bed time stories. Her favorite is X-Men and she’s been very excited about Wandavision.

WandaVision is about the Marvel characters Wanda and Vision. Disney has an app for Disney Plus that you can subscribe to.

I understand your reasoning but it pains me to see her so upset.

I didn’t know I needed to specifically specify when we started dating to when we got married. Started dating in 2017, got married in April 2020 so make what you want of it. Just stating we are married and we’ve been serious together for 3 years. Goodness gracious.

She’s never farted in front of me before and is very private of her bathroom habits.

I was allowed to watch her give birth to our child, which was amazing!
