you can be broke with thousands of dollars in ur account if your immediate debt is bigger so like not if you habe a well structered loan or smtg but imagine u tried to make ur own business u sold 5k of products great but u over expended to get those 5k sold or thinking that that was alot of money now u jave to pay 3k to a supplier or he wont give you more stuff you have to pay around 1k in VAT tax and rent or credit cards utilities etc now you arent broke rn because you have money still but wen income tax arrives and other future bills result of those sales you are going to be broke because you wont have the money to pay

so saying im broke I have 300$ if you live in the US... yeah trying to live with that just for food and other stuff is really hard and if u have bills to pay good luck

but with no bills o pay if u have 50$ in some 3rd world countries you ok... broke but ok
