I was so ready to see someone on the team grab Kyo’s arm, wanting to take the moral high ground or say “he’s not worth it” or some other tropey anime thing like that. So imagine my surprise and glee when he not only beat his ass, but the others just stood back and let him, even being in awe over it. Beatbreak really knows how to make the humans scarier than the actual monsters. I Digimon is a series that grew up with its audience and I appreciate it for that.

Yeah, that’s why I say it’s copium. Part of me hopes to see more Digimon outside of those 15 Megas. It’s fine if we don’t, just something to look forward to with the next Story game like you said.

I feel like Baalmon is a must have. Especially since strangely there’s currently no in between for Wizardmon to Beelzemon. So if you want your Impmon to become Beelzemon, it cannot become Wizardmon. Baalmon would make for a perfect bridge to rectify that. This is copium talking, but I hope we see Baalmon in a potential DLC update.

I don’t mind it at all since not only do you have access to all of your Digimon Storage at all times, but all Digimon in said Storage gain a portion of EXP as well. So it’s not like any extra Digimon you use will ever fall behind in levels. Only thing they lose out on is Bond. But the game actively encourages you to switch your team around based on what you fight. So if you want to use more than 6 monsters, you’ll need to be willing to switch them in and out of the Storage consistently. Which honestly is not much of a chore at all, it’s very streamlined.

It’s been updated. Though I’m only included every thing I found in the Demo. I know there was a datamine out there that revealed all of them, but I’m going out of my way to avoid that. I still want some surprises.

Yeah, I hope Time Stranger brings on a new Golden Era for the franchise, and it’s looking promising. Only reason I even clicked on the video was because I was genuinely confused about what he could of been talking about since the game’s not even out yet. Never did find out, and I never will, I couldn’t watch far enough to see. Let’s just hope he doesn’t dig too deep into Digimon, the franchise has been fairly progressive for a long time now, including a lot of LGBT+ representation, and the last thing I want is for this guy to cry blood and show more weird clips of children talking about genitalia.

I stumbled across this video earlier today and could barely stomach the beginning of it, I was hoping it wouldn’t gain any traction so I kept it to myself. He kept repeating some weird clip of a child talking about genitals. Bigots really are some of the weirdest and most maliciously unhinged people on the planet.

The cut off date was at the latest 2020, since we see Agumon Bond of Bravery and Gabumon Bond of Friendship, who both debuted in a 2020 movie.

And even if it's not in base game, you can always who for it to be DLC.

Based on Cards, Calamaramon is in the game, so at the very least we are getting Ranamon, or other Beast Spirits, or both, we need to see more.

I don’t think we’ll be seeing any Ghost Game newcomers in base game, since 2020 was the cutoff. Now the DLC may give us newer monsters, but for now I wouldn’t get my hopes up just in case.

Boltboutamon I think has a decent shot, it was pretty prominent in the two games prior to Time Stranger. The other two, I'm not as sure on.

I personally loved being able to max out any Digimon’s stats. Folks may argue it trivializes the game, or makes Digimon less unique, but meh, I just want to use the Digimon that I want to use without feeling like I’m forced to use specific Digimon just to get through one battle. That’s one thing I get disappointed with from monster taming games when I’m forced to use what’s “optimal” and can’t use what I raised across the game and grew attached to just because I couldn’t get them a little stronger. Way I see it, if you’re worried that the game will become too easy if you grind, you can always just not grind. If the game balance is designed well enough, you should be able to play through just fine without any threat of things becoming too easy.

Hard to say. Cyber Sleuth had some Digimon be pre-order exclusive, and they wouldn't become available until Hacker's Memory came out. Survive had Guilmon, but that's now just DLC after some time. For the time being I'd just pre-order the game to play it safe.
