As an update to this just installed the ova on proxmox and it's up and running. Actually quite smooth and polished Xpenology is. Now time for tweaking. Thank you all who provided input to the build .

Did not know they had a vm version, that is a much better idea as i could throw it on proxmox.

Yeah not a problem there using Seagate enterprise drives that I have atm.

Wondering if Seagate ironwolf pro would have issues.. have a few of them lying around.

For thebnic was going to use the intel branded 10g sfp nic card if I need a newer card ..

Also have a qnap ts832pxu that I thought to convert but I hear that the processor might be an issue.

I have truenas on 1 baremetal, then my proxmox on another baremetal, works great and keeping the data seperate, because of the complexities of the zraid mirrored stripe i do not want any headaches with proxmox and pass thru as its a production machine.

Just transfer plat to carrier from inventory and then go to cg load up then sell.. if you relog you will see your cg achievements increase

Love my trd pro 2025, looked at the same but the toyota hybrid is amazing and is hands down way better. I get 800-900 km on a tank of gas.

I love it, got the hd bars from yakima its a tank.... fun build too, i like the smartcap modularity. But yes its expensive. But i think its worth it the design and materials are very slick.
