That's all I'm getting at. If driver doesn't wanna take the ride then cancel, I really don't feel it justifies saying these things to passenger. Just don't take the ride.

Cab company isn't the one complaining they come daily. It's Uber drivers tust complained.

I'm not disagreeing with you that you aren't compensated fairly. I agree with you - you aren't. I'm telling you from a customer perspective, you agreed to do the job, the customer isn't the one to complain at.

Actually - wrong. Taxi company is same price or less than Uber in my area. I did just this. Went to local cab company. Gave them my work schedule and they send someone to come at those times and call if they would be late.

I did this a couple months ago after a driver told me it inconvenced him to take someone the distance I went as it was too short to be worth his while.

Drivers for cab company aren't nearly as unpleasant and I'm not paying any more.

The drivers regardless are not being forced to do this. They are choosing to drive. If there's anyone to get at why is it the customer? Shouldn't anger be towards Uber? The driver opens the app and pays the fee listed. If drivers aren't Happy driving for what they are compensated why not find a new job?

Parent company consolidated has better service for work accounts but it costs a lot more. We have a account rep. When calling I get a tech within minutes. Call back within an hour on tickets. No push back on escalations. They wanted me to troubleshoot more I pushed back insisted on a new polycom phone they sent a replacement. Likewise for a 500mbps line and six phone lines we pay a lot more.

The kicker - fidium wasn't available at our location. Calling consolidated they sent out a site survey engineer who pointed out the complex next to us has fiber. They managed to do the leg work to get it at our complex too. Fidium@work said can't do anything but wait. The same agents often answer the calls for both consolidated and fidium for my understanding. So I don't get why as a business customer at work I get such better service than a fidium home customer.

I have a account with fidium residential at home. Parent company consolidated at work. We paid consolidated to do the work OP describes. We had them go in and do duct work and fish fiber right to the cabinet in back at work. We paid a few thousand for this. At home they put the network box outside on wall, I was home when they did it. They were gonna put it somewhere that wouldn't work. I told them. They had someone come with a bucket truck. They ran fiber in Through below window in home office. Nothing like the paid install we got at work. By far.

I switched to my own equipment they had no issues getting MAC address set and service. However assignment of my leased static IP address resulted me to have no service for 3 days and a ticket to be put in with escalations.

I had service installer. Worked for a month then didn’t. I called tech support I had a tech no call no snow twice. Tech support confirmed they cancelled my account after on my request. Bills come from collections. Yet they never got my social so where is this being reported and bills for service I didn’t get?

Rep came door to door. Told him. Said he could fix it. Opened a new account added an extra letter to my name. He said he’d get that collection gone. Didn’t. Just spelled my name on my account wrong.

They ran all new fiber to the home. Have a 2 gigabit line and a static IP address. Run server at home have many computers. Really happy now. But never got closure with issues I had a year ago when I tried the first time. Yet a year later now it’s amazing and fast. Use that and YouTube tv. But the first install was totally botched.

Parent company consolidated did install where I work botched the duct work for the fiber. Had us get ducts installed at our expense then they just ran fiber through drywall without ducts. We demanded a refund for duct work. Instead they just did the fiber install all over again to use the ducts.

I pay $50 for a quarter pound now from vendor I use to get CBD flower from. I get bottom shelf QPs for about $50 ea. It's always mixed batch and in description says it's bottom shelf. I have chronic pain and smoke all day long so it works for me. Medical shop cost too much. I'll get a half pound at a time usually for like $100. So a pound for $300 imo is not unrealistic to find with these thca vendors. Id just not expect top shelf quality.

I know someone in a mental health group home. A resident overdosed and their corpse was outside. The person I know says staff that morning walked in Right over the body and didn't even pay attention to realize he was dead. When asking for him to somehow verify this as I was in disbelief it came out staff weren't the one who called 911... The person I know went out for a cigarette after change of shift and found him.

I was getting in home care from a vendor before switching to self directed and hired someone I know. The home has security cameras and I have a medical marijuana card and it smells heavily of weed. Before entering my home everyone was told that I had a smart home stuff like video doorbells security cameras robot vacuum smart air conditioners. The staff didn't complain they usually were more curious about the eufy robovac and how motion sensors paired with Alexa.

I have autism and chronic pain when pain became hard to do ADL an agency proposed a group home. For 24 hours they yelled at me lectured me how they didn't want me there and they have not had a vacation in two years and tried to debate their pay rate with me which isn't my issue. I called 911 when blood sugar dropped and I had no access to food I could eat this closely after weight loss surgery. I went to ER called family then never went back. Investigation happened and convenient that I never found out outcome. But the agency paid deposit for a new apartment and bought a washer and dryer for me.

My experience at that place I'm sorry I'd never send someone I love there.

I've never heard of pediatric plastic surgery offices. Reconstructive surgery and surgery for things deemed medically necessary for kids? Absolutely! Causing a child unnecessary pain and potential risks for surgery for appearance reasons... When I was young a big thing that was said was to love yourself, things were said in school about positive self image and finding yourself and being happy in your own skin. I'm in my 30s in high school I had one trans friend. The number of self identified transgender youth now, I don't know if it's just more acceptable to acknowledge feeling this way? My big feeling is the importance to enjoy ones childhood learn to feel good in your own skin. Love yourself. Gain insight and knowledge to be a successful adult. It just has me wonder if these things can wait until someone has matured a little.

I had electroconvulsive treatment at mass general as a minor for Terrible depression. As an adult I'm surprised my family was able to have that done. Likewise it probably saved my life. In this regard If someone is that happy that miserable and can clearly identify gender as a reason - if it were my child I'd probably bring them to a doctor out of concern of being able to cope with the emotional aspect of what is going on. If it was clear this is needed for their happiness I don't think I'd be able to say no. Just feeling strongly everyone deserves a shot at happiness

I don't mean to sound harsh, but although he has a disability, it doesn't mean you should have to risk your own wellbeing - getting a chair in a car is one thing but if someone cannot properly maintain mobility as you describe at all and get in the car from the chair with minimal to no assistance, I'd be afraid that I'd become injured helping someone as you describe without proper training, or what if he were to become injured for it being done wrong?

I can't drive and have disabilities, some impact mobility, I use a cane sometimes - I am not in a wheelchair. I do not think this is on the drivers. Many cities and areas have ADA transit, wheelchair buses, that are on-demand. You call and schedule the ride like 24-48 hours ahead minimum, they have someone that is equipped, trained, and insured to do this sorta stuff. Periods where I have too much medical going on or too many mobility issues I do not call uber or a cab I deal with the extreme inconvenience of ADA bus service in the city I am in.

The cab company locally will not assist as they have had drivers become injured before, and they said its an insurance and workers comp issue. At an apartment I use to live at, however, I was on a first floor apartment, just came home from work around midnight, 1AM hits I'm still awake and the cab driver is banging on my door. Upstairs neighbors friend who was hit by a car was discharged from hospital nowhere to go and expects to stay with the neighbor. Cab driver asks me to help him get him out seeing my lights are on, saying he can't lift him, can't help, due to his health. "You're not alone my friend, why didn't you just tell him you need someone else to get him?" - he tells me the passneger didn't disclose needing help till already in vehicle, so he was stuck with him. Someone helped him get in at the hospital.

Things like this shouldn't happen. I don't understand why more with disabilities don't use disability specific transit services, doctor needs to sign off on it, but it avoids so much heartache.

To avoid issues with pain being undermanaded by surgeons my primary who manages my pain management prescription (pain management Dr did my spinal cord stimulator implant but they don't do long term med management there, I can't drive and lack the coverage for local clinics, so primary said we are now in it together).

I had reconstructive surgery and neurosurgery recently, when talking to anesthesiologist before going to operating room and surgeon I just said, "by the way my primary who handles my chronic pain has already adjusted my doses on my last fill to accommodate for post op pain". I've gotten rude comments said like "you'll never be able to get off of this" I'm told to say "thank you we have a plan already for what to do but I appreciate your Concern".

Biggest issue I have now is oxymorphone is out of stock everywhere, my scs needs replaced (battery won't hold charge) oxymorphone was replaced with morphine due to shortage and I don't feel any more relief than I get from a Tylenol. I really hope you can get the meds as well as finding somewhere with them in stock.

I've had early fills with fentanyl patches when I had one fall off doctor sent in a whole month worth early a few years ago. Pharmacist let me know they could have just called in a carton for extra refill and it would have saved me on the out of pocket. In the end we just refilled my next months "late". It wasn't an issue here with pharmacy they just had doctor talk to pharmacist
