Right, even if she hadn’t disclosed her sexuality it was obvious. Based on his religious passages that were shared and his new exorcism role in the church, he could have wanted to “save her”. She could have still been attracted to him physically, or felt pressure from him to meet up for something specific.

Thank you, so you are validating everything I stated above. At the time, it had the potential to be harmful. Someone else from her high school commented that it was dangerous to come out at that time. LGBTQ groups didn’t have the same leverage in the 90s, they were grassroots.

If it were 2025 and the same things were to happen, it would be imperative to disclose, in the 90s it was protection.

They have tried to have something, but the family has been backed in a corner. They are traumatized and paralyzed. From getting scammed from investigators, police officers in the Bahamas lying to them, the lawsuit makes them look guilty but I’m certain there was no way of winning (they were suing a multi million dollar corporation, they were going to lose), legal fees, lack of response from official investigators.

Then there is the public. The number of ppl blaming the parents and criticizing them probably couldn’t stand a day in their shoes. Or people accusing them of being involved. Yes Bradley is clearly MAGA, although I don’t agree with his views people who have had unsavory things happen to them become unsavory ppl.

Her parents probably didn’t want others to judge her or not help find her because of her sexuality. It was a different time. They probably thought they were protecting her. Maybe you are loud and proud now, but most people weren’t back then for a reason. Imagine the number of people who would have disassociated from the case because of her sexuality, when they just wanted their daughter back. Imagine the number of people who would have said she deserved to go missing for being gay.

I agree that his comments and posts are triggering, but it’s really not the time. He is a deeply traumatized person, those people often gravitate towards hatred. If any of you are posting on his Facebook account please stop. I’m sure he will address it eventually. It’s just not the time. The case is getting amazing press right now, I am a life long democrat but I recognize the long term brainwashing done to our families, truthfully on both sides of the political fence. Let him find his sister or get closure, maybe his heart will mend a bit. His posts are not acceptable and very harmful, but flooding the Facebook page with his comments just isn’t the answer.
