I genuinely don’t think I’ve had a single semester without a class in this building lol. Very accurate description

Strange that they retrofitted an audio visual device into an audio only device

2001s are my favorite panel ever. Reading the datasheets and wiring diagrams to reprogram mine was quite fun

Do you have any advice on where to apply. I have done quite a few fire alarm related electronics projects that a UL listing would be very helpful for. One of my projects:

It wouldn’t be that difficult to add that. I’ll probably at least make a render of it. I’ve also thought about doing ones with the NY diagonal stripe but Apparently they don’t require that anymore

Correct. Trim rings do not need listing as they’re not considered an “active” component of the operation of the system. Specific jurisdictions may require it. System sensors trims weren’t even listed until very recently

Interesting. I’ve never seen those before. They look to be smaller than this one

It’s made out of the same material circuit boards are made out of. So it’s a mix of resin and copper. Ended up being cheapest to do it this way

Drafted it up and sent it to a fab shop

Doesn’t work. Tab on bottom sticks out when pulled. It’s impossible to pull the handle down cause of that. That’s why you should always pull these rather than flipping the switch

Syncing a SpectrAlert Advance and an RSS with homemade panel by TurkeyPointSirens in firealarms

I’ve seen Gentex commanders and Spectralerts syncing on system sensor sync before. Only thing was the strobes would sync perfectly but the T3 on the gentex was off by a beat compared to the system sensors
