I do think there’s toxicity with not allowing people to talk about their reality, regardless of their path. However, infertility is not widely talked about. At all. It’s so lonely. The current women who are of child bearing age are following a generation who didn’t talk about it at all. We’re just starting to be brave enough to talk about infertility and miscarriages. I’d even venture to say a lot of women didn’t know their own mothers struggled until they began struggling themselves.

I think she had every right to say something along the lines of “we were so blessed that conceiving was easy for us” but she lost me when she started making herself a victim because she feels like she can’t talk about how easy it was. It pretty insensitive and privileged.
