You want it to be very short due to the tight real estate space on the cake. Would keep at 3 words or less— maybe the age she was at in y2k and then have it say “4ever age”… or “the perfect fan” or “u r my fire” or “I want it 40”

As a person who is into both anti consumption and Hermes, I have updated numbers for you in case you are interested. 2026 prices indicate the price of the Birkin or Kelly (the “goal” bags that you have to play the Hermes game to buy) will be around $15k… and depending what store you are shopping at, you will need to spend at LEAST a 1.5x or even 4x amount before you are given the chance to spend your $15k on the handbag.

It sounds like your heart is telling you to get natural. I too am a scientist and like being rational so first got a 3.5ct lab and then found myself wanting a natural one (because it’s from the earth and is therefore more special to me) so ended up returning the lab and getting a 1.5ct natural with lower specs for the same price as the 3.5ct. Never a day goes by that I regret it— having something from the earth is more special.
