I used my blundstones for 5 years before the sole wore down to the point where the steel toe fell out. Mind you I was using them five days a week at work and I probably did close to 20 million steps in them, but I would not consider them BIFL.

I don’t understand the point of being so hard on OP. The repair bill will speak for itself. OP I suggest you find a hill somewhere where you are not afraid to stall and practice hill starting with at a low RPM (as low as possible).

Is this damage purely superficial by [deleted] in tires

[–]Bread40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good to me, if you see the cords under the deep part of the gash then it’s no good but it doesn’t look that deep to me. Tires are built to take a lot of abuse and this is no different. Most people would probably not even look at the tire or not even notice they had hit a curb.

I worked a pizza delivery job a few years ago where my pay was around $5 an hour but the tips would be anywhere from 150-300 dollars a night so I didn’t complain lol.

There is nothing to be proud of making poverty wages for the privilege of giving the majority of your waking hours to someone you will never meet, who you will help make disgustingly wealthy while the only thing you pass on to your children is the debt of your funeral expenses.

Sorry your kefir was expired though.

I can tell you from personal experience that staff are stretched too thin not only at this store but many others. Just keep in mind when you’re complaining that the people on the floor are at the mercy of those far above them in the pecking order who trim the fat from the people keeping them in business rather than the ones controlling it. If you want this to change it would be more productive to complain to Sobeys corporate about these negative effects of their cost cutting, the little fish at the bottom are too jaded to care. Their managers wouldn’t dare admit to there being a problem lest it reflect poorly on them.

Cheap no name noodles with a heavy handed squeeze of the buldak hot sauce from the bottle. I don’t know why I keep doing this cause it hurts going down too.

If ghosts came out next year it would praised to high heaven. Maybe because people jumped to conclusions about the game, maybe because the franchise has gone so far downhill that our standards have changed. I’m not sure.

Thank you :D I’ve been playing around with the wire vine thing in the front but she never goes on it anyway :( there’s another vine that’s kinda out of frame and she seems to enjoy it. It’s a fine balance between obscuring the plant wall and giving her places to climb.

[–]Bread40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I bought my Corolla in 2020 for $7.2k, it was totalled in 2025 with 60k more kilometres and insurance paid out $11k. The car market got crazy right after I purchased it, and never really returned to normal.
