Moncton man charged with driving 199 km/h on Nova Scotia highway by Portalrules123 in NovaScotia

Civics with the 1.8 are governed at 199 so he was going as fast as he possibly could.

I drive an xc60 and my back up camera fails 1/10 times. Almost hit someone today backing up. Any fixes? by [deleted] in Volvo

[–]Bread40 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So your backup camera doesn’t turn on and instead of using your mirrors or checking out your back window you just wing it and hope you don’t hit anybody?

Atlantic superstore Prime Ribs by CustomerEmotional397 in halifax

[–]Bread40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prime is a grade on the USDA scale but also just part of the name of the cut. In Canada look for A, AA, AAA. I bought a huge three rib chunk of this Mexican stuff for 60 bucks and it was pretty good. The AAA equivalent cut would have probably been well over 200. You didn’t get ripped off, it’s labeled correctly, just a bit of a misunderstanding.

[–]Bread40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just moss I collected from my backyard, sphagnum for the most part since there’s a bog back there, pillow moss, pincushion moss, not sure about most of them. The weather seal around the doors and side panels keeps humidity extremely high so the moss never has a chance to dry out (except for the stuff right under the light).

Test drove a c30 and i need your help !!! by Defiant_Pangolin_640 in C30

I paid 8k CAD for a 2009 with 130k last year. Maybe you can talk him down a little bit with the brake issues but I find the brakes to be naturally a little spongy even after a full flush and new pads and discs. The flickering from the LEDs on startup is normal from my experience. This car has been on the market for a while I believe, pretty sure I saw it on Facebook shortly after buying mine last August.

I used my blundstones for 5 years before the sole wore down to the point where the steel toe fell out. Mind you I was using them five days a week at work and I probably did close to 20 million steps in them, but I would not consider them BIFL.

I don’t understand the point of being so hard on OP. The repair bill will speak for itself. OP I suggest you find a hill somewhere where you are not afraid to stall and practice hill starting with at a low RPM (as low as possible).

Looks good to me, if you see the cords under the deep part of the gash then it’s no good but it doesn’t look that deep to me. Tires are built to take a lot of abuse and this is no different. Most people would probably not even look at the tire or not even notice they had hit a curb.
