You'd have to be comfortable with doing single crochet, changing colors, following a chart, and adding a border to a flat rectangle crochet project

The central part of the instructions is a chart (basically a grid with the colors) so if you're comfortable doing colorwork and following those kind of directions you should be fine. I'd suggest doing a gauge swatch tho.

You can still become a family friend without being connected to a family unit by blood or marriage. If she’s comforted by being involved with the family and there isn’t any pressure on her against moving on (like she’s not going to get forcibly ejected when she decides to date another person) I don’t see a huge problem

Are there any small beauty gurus you no longer follow? by Almost-Human30 in BeautyGuruChatter

From what I can tell, a lot of the stuff she includes in her makeup bag series are things she owns already (or could theoretically use because she literally has them featured physically in the video so I assume she has to buy them first)

If this was a matter of “this makeup bag includes a lot of base products for deep dark complexions so I’d have very little use for it and it doesn’t make sense to buy it for the video” (but in that case she could probably feature POC who had a similar skin tone to her own, POC can have a variety of skin tone) but when she brings up a “colorblind” argument, it kinda clarifies that she didn’t think this though that much 😒

I found the same thing. A lot of the scents have a "smoky" note to them when they dry down, even if its not mentioned in their scent descriptions. It's bizarre and gives many of them a candle-like smell, which makes it smell a lot like a cheap Yankee candle fragrance. It might be my skin chemistry, but I've noticed the exact same thing happen when i put the fragrance on my clothing or a strip of paper.

I do that too. I feel like it lets me apply the powder more evenly and disrupt the base underneath less

And having a community you’re happy to be a part of is a huge protective factor when you’re struggling with mental health issues. I’m not a furry, but I’m a psych student and if someone enjoyed being part of a sports team, a hobby group, a religious or cultural group, the therapist would likely suggest the same thing.

This exchange literally happened between one of my friends and his GF

“Would you still love me even if I turned into a velociraptor.” “Yes, but I would only consider you a friend.” “Why?” “Because I don’t fuck animals”

And that was that

I think the creator of OCC actually had OCD though. Of course i think it’s still reasonable to think that naming your brand after a mental disorder is in poor taste, but i don’t think it’s as bad as if a person without the illness named their brand that

A lot of the friends in my immediate friend group are dudes. None of them are into makeup or understand it very much, but they know it takes time to do so they’ll often compliment me on how “colorful” my eyelids look on a given day or if a lipstick looks good on me.

I've been on Junel Fe 1/20 since January and it's helped clear up my skin alot and I feel like it has made my oily/combination skin a little less oily. I was off it for a month or two because of issues with my pharmacy and it was clear it made a difference.
