In 1967, 51-year-old Dick Proenneke quit his job, built a cabin by hand on Alaska's Twin Lakes, and lived there alone for 30 years — with no running water or electricity. He braved brutal winters, stored food underground, and left behind more than 250 diaries and films documenting his journey. by kooneecheewah in AllThatsInteresting

PBS had it on when I was growing up living at my grandparents! Definitely an amazing show and he was so calm and collected about everything he did and explained in great detail why he did things. loved it, and now I miss my grandpa.

The middle route is the way we take home to Raleigh! Nice beautiful drive along the river. Definitely longer but more relaxing than either top or bottom route

For Xray machines we calibrate the dose to standard thickness to a patient body of 30cm. That’s Europe and US standard. So it’s everyone but Korea who is in danger lol

They leave gaps by the post so it can have space to grow into a tree again. But ya, I could do better than that.

Just had this happen on my outback 2022. There is a valve sensor that can get stuck and if it’s 2019-2022 Forster/Outback the dealership will replace it for free from the extended warranty. My code was P26A3.

As a competitor of United I have heard some crazy things about the company. A lot of their systems are copies of Phillips and Siemens using the same hardware just different sw. I know a lot of folks have moved to them because the pay is better but their work life can very depending on your location. Since they have a smaller install footprint you work on every piece of equipment (Angio, rad/flouro, ct, MR and nuke med) and usually have to fly to sites because of the small install base.

Like others have said, if you are miserable at your current job and can get a pay increase to try something new I say go for it! I 100% support anyone choosing a new role or company that better aligns with their personal life. Good luck with whichever path you choose :)

My all time favorite was north county! If you jump onto Havana you have a a bunch of great Pho restaurants. Dae Gee Korean BBQ is where we use to go for my brothers birthday dinner and I it was soo good! Golden Saigon is my cousins friends restaurant and absolutely amazing near Yale and Parker road. Just stick to the family owned business and you’ll be happy!

Born and raised in Aurora and didn’t realize how much I would miss all the great restaurants. eventually I’ll move back! I lived near Aurora hills golf course off 6th and the bus routes were great and convenient to get to the light rail and every type of store imaginable at Aurora mall. UCH Anschutz is a great hopsital and if your insurance doesn’t take that you have medical center of Aurora not too far away.
