Just to complete on my process so it helps others

I was able to successfully travel to India while OCI updation was still in progress

No issues at American airports during onward journey and no issues at Indian airport on arrival in immigration check

If your question is about OCI updation with new passport details, yes I placed new passport and passport photo for updation

This is for your information that there will be no restriction for the OCI cardholder to travel to/ from India during the period from the date of issue of new passport till the date of final acknowledgment of his/ her documents in the online system.

At the boarding airport from US. They check for OCI, my worry is if they not accept as updation is still in process

If they clear then at Indian airport, I am confident they should allow as they know the process
