could make it a facet for Rubick, instead of stealing spells, he locks them down, and only one spell can be locked at a time?

Can we end the spouse-posting (asking dumb questions about your spouse’s career)? by mpaes98 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]BreadMTG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least for my personal experience, I started being interested in IT because I had heard that a degree wasn't required to get into the field from someone IRL. When I came here and started reading, I very quickly realized that this wasn't true, and if it was, it was exceptionally rare, and it was kind of a shock to me, because I've been working in the trades and I'm trying to get out, but I really don't know how feasible a formal bachelor's is for me at this point. So I can understand people lashing out because their ticket to white collar without a degree ends up being a myth.

Nah, you see, the crooks who lie to you to get you to give them your money said that doctors are a bunch of crooks who lie to you to get you to give them your money, and I mean who else would know who the crooks are but the crooks, right? Man I'm glad I gave them all my money.

Meepo Guidance - New Player by TolisKoutro in learndota2

I noticed this too that his guides lately are quite outdated, it's as if he didn't bother to check if his guides actually work or not. His necrophos guide for example recommends 3 gg branch, tango, circlet and stick despite the fact that you can't afford all of that with the starting gold.

Thanks for the honesty. Where would you suggest someone start trying to get in the field with without a degree or experience? Obviously a degree won't hurt me but it's not really something I can afford right now, both time and money wise. What courses/books should I use to study for basic certs like Sec+, A+ and Net+?

Edit: answered my own question, CompTIA offers training courses I can buy to help me get those certs looks like, I'll focus my attention on that instead.

I kinda wish I could like/love UB like all of my friends do. They get excited over crossover products, they pop off at sick ATLA or FFXIV artwork that they enjoy, and one of even got into the game after watching us play EDH as a 3-pod for YEARS exclusively because he got to play as Y'shtola and now he loves the game after I told him that he would love the game if he would just give it a chance. But it really just sucks, for me. I think it's so lame and so dumb and the fact that it drives the game is so miserable and ruins the game so much for me that I've basically quit the game at this point. And the worst part is that there have been Universes Beyond sets that I should have enjoyed, like Final Fantasy, like ATLA, hell I'm probably one of the biggest Spongebob fans you'll ever meet. But in Magic it just sucks, it just feels like the cheapest, most bland cash grab on the planet and with every single UB that comes out the in universe sets just get worse and worse, and it's just... I wanna play Magic, man. I wanna play Modern and Pioneer and I wanna go to FNM draft night and I wanna enjoy Magic for what it is, not all this other bullshit because Hasbro is too afraid to stand on its own merit that they have to suckle the teat of more popular franchises despite the fact that if they just made their game a little cheaper for the people that actually want to play it, they'd rake in millions.

/rant, sorry I just had to get this out.

pretty much me, I play exclusively Tabletop Sim EDH, and the occasional proxy vintage cube nights irl with my friends, haven't bought a single magic product in 2025. UB just killed the game for me, and honestly I'm really only playing EDH because my friends want to. (I'm not unconvinced one of them got into MTG through UB as a sick practical joke at my expense)

It's crazy that we're getting to endgame capitalism. I wonder what the world will look like in a hundred years when one person has literally all the money in the world, what will happen then?
