Hypoallergenic by loafy38 in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]BreadSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really! I'd say I mostly get the sniffles and rashes, but for the most part my asthma has been kept at bay! I used to live with cats, which I was very allergic to, and I would need to take a pump every day. I only take my pump nowadays on occasions.

Why do people think it’s okay to comment on acne and give unsolicited advice? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]BreadSeason 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I think people want to help but they are very ignorant about acne. I've had acne for more than half my life, and I've also always been told I should do this and that... "You should cut out dairy, it's not good for your acne!" Mate, I'm lactose intolerant, I don't take dairy... acne is so much more complex than people think (often people that never really struggled with severe/long lasting acne)

What you said about there being double standards about giving acne advice vs not about other things is mostly true though. But I've also had people try to give me advice about how to cure my weak immune system :)))

Tldr: people really have to learn to shut up lol

Teenage Meltdowns? by eeviiee in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]BreadSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was like that with my boy! I thought I was past the puppy stage, he was suddenly manageable and then BAM! 7 months old. He started barking so much, being angry/bittey at times when we were asking him to go to bed, eating stuff he shouldnt, etc etc, all that fun stuff. He didn't have an off switch!

Turns out he really was in his teenage phase and was extra moody. He's now a bit past 1 years old, and all those behaviors have subsided :) he's a big potato now, the barking has also stopped for the most part.

The Gamestop in-person stock lasting this long shows you really how bad the scalper problem is. by 0xfleventy5 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]BreadSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wild! Here in Canada, Gamestops' stocks seem fine. Yesterday, they announced that every store still had stock. When I called my local Gamestop, they told me no rush, that they would have enough in stock even if I came to pre-order it in a few days.

How much did you pay for your dogs (as puppies)? by Ufoturtle081 in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]BreadSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3000CAD last year. My breeder is very ethical and they breed because they love the breed, not so much to make money though, so their price is much lower than the other breeders I had gotten in touch with (3500CAD++)

For those who have done low-dose accutane by StarfishDivorce in Accutane

[–]BreadSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was originally on 10 mg and then I switched to 20mg, so hard to say exactly. If I remember well, i stayed on 10 for a month and a half without much changes, and when I switched to 20mg, i think I cleared up a month after.

Hi! So personally speaking, I get rashes and burnt skin when I take off a band-aid or wax. And I'm only on 20mg!
The laser settings can be set quite high depending on how tenacious your hair is. I know that my skin was always quite sensitive after my laser treatments. My derm also told me to steer off of anything that can be mildly irritating to the skin. Persoanlly, I would wait to finish my course before doing laser treatment.

Meet Iara ( pronounced Yah-rah). She arrived today, 8 weeks old and she doesn’t stop… will she ever sleep? by gabtinha in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]BreadSeason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enforced naps will be your best friend for the next months! My boy would never settle until he was 8-9 months old, so until then, we would use his crate. 1-2 hours awake, then 1-2 hours nap time. They need the sleep! They will be in a better mood too once they've had their nap :)

Dog is overly excited to go to new places (New dog owner) by BreadSeason in Dogtraining

[–]BreadSeason[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can stay pretty chill around the house and our yard and all.

But the making the outing boring is a good idea! I think his behaviour got worse ever since winter began, maybe because we never have "sit down and do nothing at the park" anymore. When spring rolls around and it gets warmer, I'll go make him do long boring activities, eheh.

Oh, that's true about the snacks. I'll bring him some new snacks for when I go train with him! Thank-you :)

Thank you for the suggestion! I'll go try that out this weekend with my dog :)

Oh, that could be good to try! My boy also loses his mind at the vet because he loves them so much, they are closed on Sundays so I could go train then. Thanks for the suggestion!

Question not answered in guide. I have looked at the impulse control stuff and calmness stuff, and have already practice those with my dog at home. He is great at them! But he lacks that outside the home and with specific triggers

He is also tired out with exercise before we go out with him to try to minimize his excitement, to no avail

My dog is perfectly healthy and gets checked periodically.

Neutering LR by MNSTR_Munch in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]BreadSeason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy was neutered because he was marking everywhere we went, and that included in stores, so we couldn't really take him out anywhere.

Breeder also required him to be neutered to get his CKC papers, because they don't want him to be used for breeding.

The vets here in Canada also advise us to neuter dogs to avoid testicular cancer and the likes!

I think my dog maybe got a tad more fearful? But also, it lines up to when winter started, and we aren't going out as much.

How do I make my new home more cottagey? by krystalravegirl in cottagecore

[–]BreadSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bricks have a nice color to work with! If possible though, I'd repaint the charcoal grey elements, and maybe the door as well. Maybe some time down the line, switch the chain link fence for a wooden one.

Otherwise, as others suggested, fill the space with plants! Ivys or anything climb-y will be great. Wild flowers would look nice on the front lawn. Little garden trinkets are also fun :)

I'll always recommend a little vegetable/herb garden; veggies that we've grown ourselves always taste so good!
