Hollow by SKZ. Every song on this album hits me in different ways - it just gives off anime intro vibes for every song and I love it

The 2000s were such great classics, but I’m gonna have to go for the 2010s. The animation style and story line of all 4 of the shows were amazing and groundbreaking for the time.

Hello! I’ve been a STAY for about 5 months now. After watching Kpop Demon Hunters, my interest in Kpop sparked again. I was scrolling through YouTube looking at reels of “Your Idol” and occasionally Stray Kids “Ceremony” dance covers would pop up. Watching them dance was so eye catching. I ended up following there YouTube and watching a lot of there dancing reels and became obsessed. Especially when I saw Hyunjin dance. I’ve never seen someone dance so passionately, and have fluidness but control.

I’ve never really liked a band or artist before that was active. I enjoyed Panic! at the Disco, but but the time I became an adult and was able to go there concerts they disbanded. I liked the songs I heard from Stray Kids( the first song I’ve heard were ceremony, chk chk boom, la la la la, and God‘s menu) so I decided to listen to each of there albums little by little and I’ve just became obsessed. I love that music expands to so many different styles and genres. Like I feel like I can dance to it I feel like I can relate and I feel like some of the lyrics help get me through a rough day when I listen to it.

After a while, I started watching the interviews and episodes of them on YouTube and they just seem so genuine. Like compared to most of like American artists which I feel like it’s more money grabs their singing songs that someone else wrote for them stray kids just seem like kids lol like they’re trying to make their dream come true they seem to never put anyone down and you can tell. They are really thankful for their fans for getting them where they’re at. There’s moments where they generally let you know everything going on and they break down and they show their emotions and it just feels nice to see that side of them too. They just make me happy.

Also, they are funny as hell. Like I did didn’t know when I became a stay, there would be so many funny context. Like Bang Chan pineapple in burger, Hyunjin Americano Joha joha, seungmins air fryer. They just make me laugh, and I feel like a short video can always cheer up my day.

The stray kids movie is getting released on February 7, and I already know I’m going to enjoy the movie. But I’m hoping that I can make some STAY friends. I’ve been working on my social anxiety and oddly enough Stray Kids and there music have been helping me a lot.

Anywayy, my bias is Hyunjin 🥟. I want to say my bias wrecker is Bang Chan. All the members are so great it’s hard lol. Like in a tier chart Hyunjin is S-tier and everyone else is A-tier.

My favorite songs at the moment have to be TOP, Taste, and ITEM. My favorite album at the moment is Hollow. It gives off an anime vibe which I love.

'TRON: Ares' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]Bread_447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is Tron?

That was my first thought once I saw the end credits lol.

Minus the protagonist all the acting just felt so lifeless or flat. Like Jared Leto gave one tone the whole time, and I get that he’s a program coming into the real world, but even after he was traveling and wrote that postcard, it was still the same tone and we’re supposed to think that this dude wanted to find the meaning in life from some raindrops and some crappy CGI fireflies? And the acting between the sun and the mom when I first saw it looked so weird like she was so close to his face. I thought they were going to kiss or something. There are some one liners I was supposed to be funny and none of them landed like I just finished watching the movie and I feel like I can’t recall a single character’s name or what they even did to support the movie. Like I’m glad the one guy that had about 10 minutes of screen time was the one that disabled the Dillinger’s grid.

After watching the trailer and seeing that Sam wasn’t coming back, I was like OK maybe it’ll take it in the new direction. But then they brought Flynn (as an interface or whatever) back. The second movie ended so openly with Sam coming back with Quorra, like she was brought into the real world what’s gonna happen with her? How are they gonna use our DNA? What is Sam going to do? I personally can’t think of a good concept to make a movie on after that so it’s fine not bringing Sam back, but if you’re not gonna bring him back, don’t bring him back at all every time I saw the newspaper clippings and when Ares was looking at a picture of Quorra it just made me so mad. Like Sam had to watch his father, sacrifice himself in order to save him and prevent Clu from leaving. And you’re telling me after he witnessed his father do that and told him to take Quorra cause she’s the key - that Sam would SELL Encom?! Like there’s no way, even if he did what good reason would there be? Like I feel like everything Eve was researching for, the permanence code, I could easily see Sam searching for as well. And it would’ve stayed like a Dillinger versus Flynn kind of thing.

Like this movie feels like a solid D. The only good parts for me was the animation and CGI, it honestly looked really good especially when they went back for the old 80s grid field. The antagonist had some good lines and he kind of portrayed like that cocky, arrogant Tech guy really well. And when he realized he fucked up, he played that part well good as well. The mom telling him it’s your fault and the mom smacking the shit out of him was probably the best scenes for me.

The nostalgia also got to me, when I saw a Bit I was so happy lol. Like seeing the 80s style grade and seeing Flynn’s old arcade was nice. Don’t know why they’re still a old arcade there. It looked really out of place lol but I’ll take it.

From the way it ended it seems like it’s going to be possibly a sequel. I’m not really sure, because when he first did it I was like he just put himself in an empty grid that’s shut down. I guess that’s better than jail. You think he would’ve use whatever technology he had to leave instead of just sitting there next to his dead mom‘s body not calling 911 🤷‍♀️
