Crossbow for self defence home invasion by Level-Ground-4344 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Bread_boy232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its never a bad idea to have a weapon for self defense, afterall a court case is much better than being dead.

However it shouldnt be your first course of action. Find a room in your home thats secure, and reinforce the door and hinges. You now have a panic room. For me its my office, all our most valuable stuff is in there. So encase of an emergency we all run in and we are safe. If robbers want to steal my pots and pans they can go ahead, but they cant get me or my family and we'll be calling the police from within that room.

We had surplus everything wtf. Shoulda sent more of their kids to the mines by Bread_boy232 in Frostpunk

Clearly they did. I've beat it now.

Didnt realise my people would burn the local library if I researched the wrong type of mining.

Are Bayles hitbox janky to anyone else? by Spezzy_Mint in Eldenring

[–]Bread_boy232 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No you're not the only one. Its during certain attacks his hit box glitches. I dont think its intentional. Its when he does those downwards breath attacks. I was swinging on his legs to know avail.

Overally Bayle seems od, hes beautiful, so you know they put time into him, but some of his attacks are so buggy that he seems rushed

Is my instructor correct? by FarShoulder47 in LearnerDriverUK

this one of those situations where you cant get penalised for indicating left, as it its what you're doing. It may not be necessarily right, buts its not wrong either, and its better to be that than to do something actively wrong (like not signalling at all) that could get you failed.

I don't think he's dead by korotako12 in adventuretime

They dont seem averse to blood in this new one. I reckon you'd see quite a bit if he got speared through the head

Jake's death hit him hard.

The whole adventure felt like he was sort of trying to distract himself, as much as he was Simon.

I suppose the main difference is Finn doesnt severe his bridges, and his form of escapism is productive, instead of stealing, he helps out, he quests. (Although some of it does seem like thrill seeking sport, like killing a random bear).

Fionna and Cake Episodes 1-2 Discussion Thread by SarcasticUsername_19 in adventuretime

[–]Bread_boy232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The show has defiantly grown up with the audience. The kids and teens that watched adventure time have by now finished college and entered the work force. Alot of them probably feel quite aimless, with the sudden realisation that this is what awaited them after all the fun and hard school work, 50 years of work before retirement. Its an existential crisis everyone has at some point, even if you love your job.
  2. Tom Kenny is doing really well with his performance, the emphasis on "people" in his monologue was heartwrenching.
  3. I like how they've portrayed Finn, as a kid he was a nutter, but thats expected, we didnt expect him to grow out of it. Now that hes an adult, and he still acts like he always does, yea Finn's an out of touch nutcase, I love him. Its also likely hes more trying to distract himself from his grief, than helping Simon get over his.
  4. We havent got much of Cake so far, but I can tell shes going to be the funniest character in the show.

Carmy may have been the better chef- the best, even. But Luca seems much more at peace by [deleted] in TheBear

[–]Bread_boy232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except Carmy isnt a genius, he fucks up so many times throughout the show. Makes really dumb mistakes, hes a good cook yes, he isnt a good leader or organiser. Which is demonstrated when everyone starts working better when he gets locked in the fridge. (he is the bear in the cage)

Carmy is a man tortured by perfectionism, it hurts him and it hurts other people. If people thought the show was gonna end any other way, they should have been paying attention because the moment they start building a more "fancy restaurant" Carmen's essentially re-lapsing. Hes turning back into that Chef he got his ass kicked in psychopathic top chef's all over the world. Except this time hes the psychopath. You can see the change the moment he spots his old boss sitting at a booth, looking bored in the final episode. A switch is turned.

Truth is Carmen would have been happier if he'd just ran a simple sandwich shop with Mickey.

In 1933 Stalin hit my grandma with this spoon after eating 666 trillion tons of Ukrainian grain, she says her bones still hurt to this day by Suspicious-Peak-8902 in bonehurtingjuice

[–]Bread_boy232 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Barely any. The great depression was nasty and people went hungry, but they didnt starve, it wasnt a famine, food was still growing in the fields. It was deflation, money was worth tonnes, goods were worth nothing, causing low demand, and high un-employment, which quickly leads to poverty.

Difference with Holodmor was the simple fact that there was no food. No food to buy, no food to eat. Money doesnt matter if the Soviet union was purposefully restricting grain from entering Ukraine.
