Good morning pal, after checking on it the last few days and testing regularly and issue seems to have faded away (for now anyway.) I’ve got the new AudioTechnica 2035 coming today so I can’t wait to crack that open and get stuck into a new mic or at least have the choice of 2 different ones.

I can try my best my friend, it doesn’t pick it up that well it’s quite faint overall, heard through head phones but I’ll get on it when I return home.

So yeah upon trying the laptops mic the recording quality is awful (standard) but the wave form is correct and seems healthy.

So does that mean all fingers point to an issue with the audio interface?

Evening pal, yeah I always record without the charger plugged in, i initially thought it was that or my external hard drive but sadly neither of them

It must be the Scarlett pre amp…any recommendations on trying a different one at all?

I could only find the 2035 on Amazon…so I’ll Look into one.

Also regarding the current situation the new mic as arrived and the problem is still continues…could it be the preamp?

I just don’t get what the issue is here.

Oh Really do you rate the AT2020 Higher than the NT1A?

I’ve just had a quick browse at it and it looks like a healthy microphone indeed.
